Hi!!,

Could there be a option for the host to say that a team has to use minimum 2 different tyre compounds like in reality?

Greetings,

The host can say it, but there's no in game physical restriction.

We don't need that right now if we can apply the tyre rule easy enough

I think Andrew's point is that any inner-league-rules are based on a trust-honor-system not binding by any game technical aspect.

I think if this options is avaible races get even bigger challenge tbh. But also make the qually tire the start Tyre then. Implend such an option would be awesome tbh!!

I also would like this option! Ofc you can tell ppl to do so,  but making an ingame setting isnt that hard and then its also binding! So yes moderator pls consider this option!!

Our league (Preston Racing) has this in place for Elite and Pro. It works well, penalties are applied for non-compliance, but those who do not set up or indeed finish below 20th in a race get no penalty.
It adds to the game, I recommend it strongly.

Fighting Spirit also use a 2 tyre rule but with a slight twist that I don't think other leagues run. It certai ly makes it far more interesting. Our league is locked but if anyone is interested in joining or finding out more, just mail me

Imo unless you manage to force managers to use SS/S/M/H no more than once per race, all inner-league-tire-rules do is avoid the inevitable; find a pattern..use that pattern. Even using compounds once will still find a user pattern.

iGP must make track characteristics parallel to tire compound characteristics.  No way you would use SS when it`s 30c+ on the track.

Fighting Spirit have found a way of making sure that there is no pattern to the tyre choice.

Or....putting my cynical head on...a good marketing hook for a league. 😉

LOL. There's definitely a twist, something we do that, as far as I'm aware, no other league is doing but if I just told you what we do, others would likely do it, too and then it wouldn't be unique to us. So, if you don't mind, I'll keep it a secret. Unless you join us, in which case, you'll need to know so that you don't break the rules 😉

Yes. We need to get away from the same old 'soft' strategy every time. Medium and hard are rarely used imo.

I'd say Medium are used in 70% of our races, Hards are used in around 20%
