     10- staff

The staff is a really important thing to the race performance of the race, it is important to change them with regularity, but not so much, I usually trade them in a space of 17-19* races, in my opinion this is the staff importance order:

 1- CD

2- TD

3 - D

In the CD, it’s really important to have a good weakness, here’s the weakness order from best to worse.

1- reliability

2- cooling

3- tyre economy

4-fuel economy

5- downforce

6- braking

7- handling

8- acceleration

And to the strong points, it’s the same list upside down.

And that’s all the “basics” to the staff, if I have forgotten about something sent me a private message

* in the first 4-8 levels you should trade every time you level up

PS: when you start your account you should at least change your technical director and your chief designer
PPS : When you reach an high level (14-20) you should save a bit of money and another chief designer to get a different weakness, so you can research normally on your older weakness, and research better on another attribute.

   9-The car.

The car might look simple but it one of the most important things in the game.

9.1- research

to do good research, you must have a good CD and a good TD, in the beginning of the season you should put the big four(ACC, HAN, BRA, DNF,) to research, at mid season when the big get more advanced i usually research economies to,

Obs:your CD’s strength will give you more 1 (150% research power) research point per race than the usual (if you research that attribute);
And if your research your CD’s weakness you will get less 1 point ( 50% research power ) per race than the usual, the other stay normal (100% research power )

9.2- design points

The design points points are generated by your design facility, and you receive them at the end of every race. You should give priority; to the big four, economies and then cooling and reliability.

9.3- suppliers

The suppliers can be a really good help, at the beginning of the season I use I use the Murk engine, the fuel I use beep, and to the tyres, it really depends on my car attributes, once one the attributes my suppliers give me ( ex: acceleration ) me are maxed out ( 50-rookie,
80-pro, 100-elite) I change them another skill, when this happens you will see that your maxed out attribute isn’t really maxed out, so you’ll have to research( on the atribute ) for a bit more of races.

Note: you can keep your suppliers when maxed out skill in rookie and pro, Because the extra points aren’t wasted. But in elite they are wasted!

8-setup.

The setup is very simple there’s a board for setups on Joey Mclane’s advanced guide (recomend reading) he doesn’t say the rain setup, but is always 25-27 or +12 on ride weight and wing level and there’s a different setup for SS and S, witch is the perfect setup, recommend waiting for the perfect setup reward day, and compare it to Mclane’s setup and every run with softs and super sifts add the difference to Mclane’s setup.

note: if you see that your tyres are oveheating, change the strategy, at mid race to harder tyres

7- THE RACE

the game resumes to all this, THE RACE, and to that, i will divide this chapter in three parts, boost, push level and fuel data

7.1- boost.

the boost depends a lot on the overtaking chances of the track, you can see it in the next race layer ( before the race),
- if they are high i  recommend using it all 1 lap before a pit stop ( if only doing one ) or in the last lap, it really depends on your situation.
-if they are low its better if manage to catch DRS, to overtake and to dont get overtaken.

7.2- push level

the push level is one of the reasons you should be on the race, I ussualy use push level 5 to the first lap and to have better results on DRS , use push level 1/2 if the tyres overheat, and the normal push level depends a lot on the track, temperature and tyre.

7.3- fuel data

Why talking about fuel data in this chapter? Because you can improve your performance during
the race by changing your fuel to the next pit stop, the fuel data that you get from the practice laps and the estimated laps
aren’t literal, so sometimes in the last lap where you should have 0,5 litters you have 3,8 litters. So by changing the fuel in your next pit stop, you will be able to go with less weight . But if you do it wrong you finish without fuel.

6- the auction

In this chapter I will talk about how to do an auction it is pretty simple

6.1. Chose a staff/driver
( not talking how to chose a driver in this chapter)
6.2. See if you have the time to keep on the whole auction
6.3. See the price, ( if it is to high the salary will be also high)
6.3. Place a bid and keep up with a the auction
Note: if someone bids after you play safe, only bid again on the knockout round.
6.4 wait

This chapter was very small, but I think it will be useful.

5- buying a driver

To buy a driver, I don’t recommend to use the forum marketplace, it’s a bit weird, you must always search for talent first, then see if the driving ability was trained before physical part, cuz if it is your driver won’t be able to progress on physical training, then look for age, less then 21 is ok, so I’ll divide this chapter in 3 parts ,shortlist , auctions and standings

5.1- shortlist

The basic way see a a driver that you like and shortlist him, you will be able to buy it when he will be released

5.2- auction

See chapter 6

5.3- standings

Checking your league standings might help you finding some young talented drivers, shortlist them and buy them when released.

Note: buying by scotting will be in another chapter

I’ll add a new chapter in the next 3-4 days thanks for the support

Thanks everyone for the support, I will publish the next chapter later :)

Change them every 17 to 19 races?? What? You better change them every time you level up, in any case before new season starts, otherwise the car design for next season will not be that good.

As you have 55 races under your belt, you changed staff only twice?

And what is the race performance of the race?
md-quotelink

No, I haven’t changed twice, I’ve changed a lot of times, but I think it is better at 17-19 race, cuz you can invest the tokens and money on the headquarters, that gives you more performance, I have a friend of my who kicked my ass, and he had the same doctor for 35 races and the same TD and CD for 18 races, I changed every time I level up, and what you mean about race performance?

1- reliability
2- cooling
3- fuel economy
4-  tyre economy
5- downforce
6- braking
7- handling
8- acceleration
Shouldn't downforce and braking switch place? I thought handling and downforce was more or less equal after acceleration and then braking last. I guess it depends a bit on the track though. And perhaps switching TE and FE as well? I am quite new but the difference with a few pts on FE was amazing imo, while points on TE made little to no difference. Especially since fuel is more critical (if you are out of fuel you are out of fuel, the tyres will last a few laps extra with just a tad slower speed).

The staff is a really important thing to the race performance of the race, it is important to change them with regularity, but not so much, I usually trade them in a space of 17-19 races, in my opinion this is the staff importance order:

You should keep your CD for at least 6 races to get the maximum benefits for the next new season right? And not sell him until after the season If I am not mistaken.

Other than that, thanks for the guide, much appreciated with managers who want to share their experience :)

hmmm....ok....If I was new I would be taking this to heart....but I'm not... For that reason only, I voted "no" on your poll.

key notes:
The changing CD every _____games may be a bit confusing since the staff leveling gap increases as your manager level goes up.

Chris is right about needing to use a CD for at least 6 games to keep its attributes for next season. but if you let him go bc it lands within your 17-19 days of grace, then you won't get benefits from that particular CD for next season.

You got the big 4 in the right order of significance, the weakness grouped right. One can argue fuel is more significant than tires, and they would be right.

A good simple straightforward tip to any new manager that's trying to make sense of things.

best way to change staff is when you Level up.
there are no numbers how long you should Stick to them.
another Tip is, when your drivers are close to manager level, let the D contract expire to safe cash, because the D wil be useless.

once you reach level 15 or 16 and have enough Cash you can go with 2 or 3 cds to have a better car.
here it is right that it takes 6 races, when the cd is on manager level, to get the max of 50 next season, with one limitation the strenght must be the strenght for 6 races and must not be the weakness for the other 11 races.

   9-The car.

The car might look simple but is one of the most important things in the game.

 Small typo.

A quick feedback for suppliers, you can keep them when you're in rookie/pro, extra points are still counted. It's points above 100 that are wasted.

I don`t remember reading that on any of the guides, but then again it`s been awhile. That puts a definite solution to any frustration on CD management.

Thanks Bastian.
