8-setup.
The setup is very simple there’s a board for setups on Joey Mclane’s advanced guide (recomend reading) he doesn’t say the rain setup, but is always 25-27 or +12 on ride weight and wing level and there’s a different setup for SS and S, witch is the perfect setup, recommend waiting for the perfect setup reward day, and compare it to Mclane’s setup and every run with softs and super sifts add the difference to Mclane’s setup.
Mate, are you sure about this? Most experienced players say+12. Also I read it can be +18 and something else if it it is heavy rain and snow. I saw that somewhere today I think but can't remember where.
And are you sure about SS and S? I ALWAYS run one lap each on S/M/H to see the wear difference and the driver never changed his opinion on the setup between different compounds.

.1- boost.
the boost depends a lot on the overtaking chances of the track, you can see it in the next race layer ( before the race),
- if they are high i recommend using it all 1 lap before a pit stop ( if only doing one ) or in the last lap, it really depends on your situation.
-if they are low its better if manage to catch DRS, to overtake and to dont get overtaken.
I would do the opposite I think :S
If it is difficult to overtake, track position early is important. Because the longer you stay in the middle of the pack the further you will get from the top.
If it is easy to overtake, you don't need to worry to much because you wont lose as much to the front and you can usually save most of it for the last few laps.
Not saying I am right here, just sharing a different view.
