Just a quick note. Self Help pointed out that Joey's guides are becoming a little dated so I have begun to update them where the information is no longer current.
I used to race against Joey (AKA Kimi Raikko, Ross Bong) a few years ago, he was a top guy, willing to help anyone and at the time was one of a handful of the very top managers.

I think it would be better instead of telling it in a forum thread, do a new thread, just copy Mclane’s guides and update them in new forum

8-setup.

The setup is very simple there’s a board for setups on Joey Mclane’s advanced guide (recomend reading) he doesn’t say the rain setup, but is always 25-27 or +12 on ride weight and wing level and there’s a different setup for SS and S, witch is the perfect setup, recommend waiting for the perfect setup reward day, and compare it to Mclane’s setup and every run with softs and super sifts add the difference to Mclane’s setup.

Mate, are you sure about this? Most experienced players say+12. Also I read it can be +18 and something else if it it is  heavy rain and snow. I saw that somewhere today I think but can't remember where.

And are you sure about SS and S? I ALWAYS run one lap each on S/M/H to see the wear difference and the driver never changed his opinion on the setup between different compounds.

.1- boost.

the boost depends a lot on the overtaking chances of the track, you can see it in the next race layer ( before the race),
- if they are high i  recommend using it all 1 lap before a pit stop ( if only doing one ) or in the last lap, it really depends on your situation.
-if they are low its better if manage to catch DRS, to overtake and to dont get overtaken.

I would do the opposite I think :S

If it is difficult to overtake, track position early is important. Because the longer you stay in the middle of the pack the further you will get from the top.

If it is easy to overtake, you don't need to worry to much because you wont lose as much to the front and you can usually save most of it for the last few laps.

Not saying I am right here, just sharing a different view.

Dude, you don’t even touch the buy now option... in my opinion your guide is incomplete + has different errors in it. And as you write on, the errors keep piling up.

Exactly. There're already two very good guides out there by Joey McLane. They're pinned to the top of the help & support section of the forum. No need to write another one, especially if it contains so much errors. And if sb ought to write one it should be a manager who has more experience, too.

I fully agree

This guide might have errors but I created it to the community to help me doing it, so we can all put our known together

Edit Chris, I can show you the s/ss setup

Off-topic....I apologize ahead of time...

I`ve spent 20+ minutes reading what I thought was going to be a help-guide.

It`s so easy to point out errors when you are not the one making the attempt.
Self Help has repeatedly pointed out the purpose and process of his guide. The sportsmanship of some of the so called more experienced managers in this topic is rather appalling. Glad I`m not in neither one of those leagues.
Bullying comes in many different shape and forms. This medium is not immune to it.

T.  is it Thoughtful?
H.  is it Helpful?
I.   is it Important?
N.  is it Necessary?
K.  is it Kind?

If you have more knowledge and experience than Self Help, dully note it by sending him a PM. Otherwise you are not helping the topic.

If my posts were offensive or construed as bully-like, I’m sorry, they were never intended to be so.

The goal of this guide is to put our known together, i tried to contribute to that but this guide, for me, has gotten to a point that there’s too much missing info and or errors.
If the goal really is to put our knowledge together, why not edit Joey’s guides, they are very good already. I read Kevin is working on that, I suggest we all offer our help.

Hi,
Since I answered a question earlier today about headquarter management, I thought I should share it here too to help development of this guide:

Design is the most important one, it will allow you to develop your car faster.

Then I think it is Technology, since you need to update DRS and KERS to be competitive in the long run.

Manufacturing is quite important to have enough parts for you car, but with daily rewards and ads on mobile app you don't have to develop it too much, but keep an eye on your reserve and how much your cars consume parts.

Simulator is nice to improve drivers training but it's not the most important part to begin with.

Youth Academy is useful yo get cheap drivers with good talent. To have Talent 20 drivers, you need to upgrade it to at least 12-13, so don't bother improve it too quickly.

Simulator and Academy needs to be upgraded a bit together because having good drivers that takes a lot of time to train is not interesting.

Finally there is the Offices and hospitality that only improves moral, which makes staff retiring later, so it's the least important thing.
