It changed my tires for no reason

What did you try to do?
I have set up both cars wets 3 stop, never touched advanced settings ect. Logged into race puts me on inters, however it funny that pit stop changes are corrected with me putting on wets and correct laps and fuel. 
Why do i keep putting my own money into the game for the same bugs keep happening. This happened in Itally. 

What happened instead?
It changed my tires for no reason. Costing me bug time.

That's unbelievable. They made a big change in the advanced strategy and when it's raining the game directly considers that advanced strategy. In particular you had "Inter with more than 0 mm", the default one.

I'm very disappointed. This is not a correction of a bug, it is a choiche!!!, a choiche that decides which setting has to be considered first. They change the way to think of the game and that's unfair that they didn't tell us anything!!

Jose you cannot say that "nothing" happened. This is the first time in two years that I play that I see twice this problem. I really almost never did the advanced strategy (in particular the first advanced setting) because it was not needed. The User strategy, if coherent with track condition (dry or wet) had always the priority before yesterday/today.

Moreover, "The first stage, released tonight, improves AI behaviours and address bugs with them not respecting adavanced strategy" in JAck's blog. To be honest that's not a preview to my eyes. 

Maybe I misunderstood. "I want to make it clear that we have not yet released the update that fixes this bug". This means that what happened to Nathaniel is a new recent bug? Otherwise I don't understand why you write that clarification.

Okay I have investigated your race and everything checks out and works how it should do going forward.

Yes you set the stints 1- 4 as Wet. Your advanced setup for when it is raining however was set to put on inters at 0 mm. 

Now the phase 1 of the advanced strategy fixes was released this morning and phase 1 addresses AI decisions during the race. As there was cases where the AI would change the tyres for no reason after you selected a tyre if it was raining.

As you set inters for 0mm as rain, pre race the AI should select inters in this case because that is what you specified in advanced strategy.

Phase two, which will come when the app gets updated will give you the ability to override the tyre pre race up to 20 seconds before the start giving you the power to put it onto a wet tyre or your specified dry tyre for stint 1.

Now as part of phase 1 it turns off AI decisions when it comes to tyres, so when it came to pit at the end of your first stint because of fuel, it put on your chosen stint tyre which is correct.

So in your case today, your race would of been run on inters the whole race if you did not join.

We did put a blog out earlier today and it was stated that the phase 1 fixes were put out tonight. Which gave you ample time to actually set the advanced weather settings. It also says on the home page that a new development blog has gone out.

I read the blog Darren. But only in your head that thing was a thing to be fixed. I don't know what are the bug you had to fix. In two years I understood that if I didn't touch anything it was ok and from the user point of you it was ok because the User Strategy had, in general, a priority. And if in my league there are more people complaining about I/W change w.r.t. people that started with W (only 8/32, and 2 of 8 are mine, only because I was aware of this change thanks to other manager), maybe it's not a user mistake.

Advance settings shouldn't come into play if you have not touched them, I have  not touched them at it cost me tonight even though i done my own correct set up. The game never abundantly let people know about the changes and how it works, people like me with autism struggle with reading would require more notice. I invested my own money into the game since I have joined and feel like IGP have let me down and could be why many people leave the game.  No piont re running the race for a few people in my league. 

Many mangers dont know about the changes and that not an user fault. 

it seems a bit weird. maybe it’s just weird cos of what we’re used to. but you’d hope it’s simple for the new players.  the explanation in the blog was a bit vague tbf.

I played with them in Germany for attempting to have wet tyres all race only for it to be ran on mediums

Same thing happened  to me and ruined what could have been a good haul of points.joined the race just after the second pitsop .gutted cause wet races are a good chance  for decent points. 

I am in a championship fight rn with 6 pts between me and 2nd, it's Japan in the wet rn, and my tires have gone to inters for no reason. To get around this for now, do we have to do the advanced strategy for now, until you find a fix?

Yes, everybody should be setting their advanced strategies.

I'm seeing a consistent trend in the feedback that players believe there is no advanced strategy if the options aren't adjusted. I've pointed it out for the developers and they are working to revise and improve it based on all feedback provided. Can't say much more than this but the way it looks to be going will better function to meet how the majority of players believe it should work.
