What did you try to do?
Qualify as well as I can.

What happened instead?
All season long I have been far behind Eskimo Rage, brothers team, basically same numbers & level car.
I understand this may not be a bug, but has happened so often, I just wanted to make sure nothing is a miss.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Both

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
PC

What operating system is your PC?
Windows 10

Which browser did you experience the problem in?
Firefox\Chrome

Can the bug be reproduced?
Every race this season.

Additional comments:
I understand if this isn't something to be looked into. It just seems a little strange. Please close if this is a waste of time lol
Thanks in advance though.

I've seen other posts and threads saying the same thing. It's something i suffer from too, even 6 or 7 seasons ago in pro. Didn't get a single pole position despite winning the championship, one race i was 14th and 17th on the grid and got 1-2, ten seconds up the road at the finish. I didnt notice it much for the first few seasons in elite, i expected to be near the back as I'm lower level. But as I've become more competitive, qualifying is holding me back. I have race pace to be comfortably in the top 10, but rarely qualify in the top 15 or 20. I assumed it was how i develop the car, making it more balanced to be a better car over a race distance, but seeing all of the posts about it makes me think it could be a bug of some sort

LMAO That is exactly what I was thinking. I haven't developed the car correctly. I've qualified between 17 & 22nd & finished 5 & 6th. I'm level 16 in a competitive league.
I thought I was just being paranoid. Now I know i'm not.
Cheers!!!

I'm level 16 in a competitive league too. I usually get points every race, a couple of podiums thrown in, but unless i put SS tyres on, which isn't optimal but it works at some tracks, i qualify between 15th and 25th. I love this game, despite it's little annoyances, but i hope they can sort this out because it's becoming increasingly clear that it's a common problem.  It's like trying to win the 100 metres in wellies ??

Exactly the same.
The other tactic I try is go with the slowest tire first & fastest tire last. Just a little Kers to keep in the train early on. Going to qualify back there, might as well use it to my advantage lol

Oi. Anyone. qualified 24th. Can someone figure this out or at least give a response.
Not that I think it matters, but isn't there an email address I can send bugs to? Anyone know what that is please?

If this is indeed a bug, you have done the right thing by posting the report here, there is no email address for bug reports.

I actually qualified 13th and 16th, which still isn't great but better than the usual. 5th in the race...

Thanks!!! ? Your qualifying was where I was hoping for. Doesn’t make sense. Maxed out car 19th to 22nd. Start of season car 24th ?. I have a maxed out driver & 2 titles. Built the car 3 different ways, same result. ?‍♂️

Your two titles were Rookie and Pro. You're now competing at L16 in what appears to be a very competitive league against L20 Managers.

Your CD is also L16 with a good strength / weakness combination so that's a big tick in the box. However you only had this CD for nine races, what was your previous CD attributes as they will have had a greater influence on this season starting design?

Also, are you using the best suppliers to tweak your design? Experiment and take notes.

So many variables to play with. The fact you say that your car has good race pace is a bonus. Anyway, I don't know if it's a bug but my gut feeling is no.

Regarding other threads about qualifying bugs... These were some weeks ago and tended to come from very experienced managers who all believed something was broken. The devs made some background tweaks and most of the complaints have now stopped. I'm hoping this means whatever was done has fixed the problem.

For three seasons in Elite I have tried & taken notes of every design possible using Murk, Tifosi, Toymotor & half for Wonder. My CD before was lvl15.
My comparison comes from my brothers team, Eskimo Rage, who is the same as me & we’ve compared builds, almost identical with 5 pts of each other. My issue only seems to be on Softs for qualifying. As I said, I thought it was the way I developed the car.
As always, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. You give harsh, but fair feedback.
I hope it is me & not a bug.
Thank you. Again.

Had it again today. Eskimo Rage, car is just behind mine, but he qualified .12 faster than me. Every race I am on the wrong side of that. Another car, Maahir runs, is a level below mine, always out qualifies me. It's costing me in the races. Is there honestly no one that will look at this? I've put about $1000 into this game for two drivers, play alot. There is something off on my qualifying. I have pace of the leaders, but don't get the chance to race as I get fake qualifying results.
Tried all engine\tire combo's. Same result.

Anyone think it maybe worth jumping out of the league at the end of the season & going back in? See if that alines something somehow? ?

Consistent as always. On Soft's. Qualified 22nd. Maxed out on the big 4 & I'm always on the wrong side of the times. I get beat by teams that I shouldn't because it costs me 20 to 25% Kers to catch the lead train. That';s a lot to be missing at the end of a race.

Been the last 1 & a half to two seasons. Anytime in Softs I start 17th to 22nd. I was a lvl16 in a competitive league & is still get through to 4th 5th or 6th. They could have been podiums. Ugh. Annoying to say the least.
Thanks mate.

Just leveled to 17.
I'm wondering if it's a CD thing that the car didn't qualify well.Started around then. Going to start of Soft's tomorrow. I'll let you all know if I qualify better then the high 20's FFS Sigh

Or perhaps said managers gave up on the game. :)

I didn't see any new post from devs on addressing this qualifying issue, so for me this problem is not fixed.

Then again, this might just not be a bug, and we might be seriously getting something wrong in our development. There are moments where my quali was better than my average while trying out a different car dev strategy, only for it to fail miserably the next race, and a lot of moments where I qualify in a good spot without really knowing why.

Maybe you need to be maxed out without suppliers because they don't help you in quali? Or you just need to have somewhat balanced car stats in order to do a proper quali? Or maybe some tracks are just better overall with a certain combination of stats (which in that case are definetly not the ones the game shows you, misleading information to say the least) so you need slightly more points into there without leaving other stats behind...?

Do the devs really not have an answer for this, or just don't want to "spoil the fun" of figuring it out by yourself? Do we really have to take a tedious trial-and-error path which could lead to a lot of seasons thrown into the bin just to figure out a way to have a little control over our gameplay?

I find really hard sometimes to not get frustrated by certain things of this game, especially when you take your time to learn all the little secrets that makes you a manager above the average, only to get screwed by that little game-changer mechanic many managers get an advantage from without knowing why, everyone is complaining about and no dev has ever hinted at. Perhaps a proper answer from any dev could help, I guess.
