Hello everybody, I'm new here and was wondering :

Let's assume that I am absent for the race, so it's automatically managed by the game. I have already defined my race strategy for dry conditions (number of pit stops, tyre compounds, different attacking modes) but the beginning of the race is in wet conditions. How does the game adapt ? Will it still take into consideration the initial plan ? Or will the game overwrite that and choose another strategy ?

I am just curious because I'm new to the game.

Thanks in advance.

If you choose to use advanced strategy (located in strategy menu) you will be able to choose which level of water your car will be pitting in. This also applies for starts, where if your advanced strategy is set to pit after the water is more than 0.0mm (example), you will qualify on the tyre you selected for advanced strategy. The AI will try to adapt as best as it can but as far as I know, it will still use the number of stops and fuel levels that you selected, so it might have to pit on the final lap or might put in too much fuel

There is a nice post about this: https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/42023
