Hi there, if you use push level 5 in slow corners and push level 1 on straights and slow corners, causing it to gain advantage while tires don’t heat up as much. Does that consider exploiting/ cheating the game? Or is it just a style of play?

Nope, using higher push for lower speed areas is just a style of play used by many managers, including myself, as it helps you manage (and increase) speed and tyre temperatures more effectively. 
'Cheating' is impossible in the game as all simulation is done on the servers rather than your device, though exploits such as redeeming multiple daily rewards per day have been used and patched before.
