Refueling need to end to make it more realistic

A big no from me

A) this is strategy/ management game which refuelling strategies are a key component

B) Realistic to what?  This is a formula racing management game not an F1 simulator

Shouldn't it be possible for the host too decide to have fueling or not, I think that would be the best option

As one of the options of a particular league (approved by majority votes and introduced by the host) - yes, why not. As a general innovation for the whole game - never

What if the league manager can decide to have refuelling in the league or not?

As Mitchell said, refuelling is an important element of race strategy, why would you want to switch it off? Imo that would only dumb the game down, would make it boring.

From the studio’s point of view, that option would undo a lot of good work they put time, effort and money into.

That’s why I would say no, not even as a league option

The new update regarding league rules "might" address this at one point I think.

Personally I like this idea, not so much about having a race without refuelling, it's more about the fact that the trigger for pit stops would need to be changed to allow it to happen.

Currently the trigger to initiate a pit stop is low fuel level. With a "no refuelling" rule this wouldn't work because the cars would have enough fuel to take them to the end of the race. Pit stops would still need to happen to change tyres. Without the fuel trigger presumably this would require the manager to specify the lap number in which he/she wants the pit stop to happen, the tyre compound to be fitted and (in the case of a race where refuelling is permitted) the quantity of fuel to be loaded.

This brings with it a whole new strategic element and a certain amount of jeopardy. If in the pre race strategy you tell the driver to pit on (for example) lap 20 to fit soft tyres and take on 34 litres of fuel but you have miscalculated your fuel for stint 1 there is always a danger the driver will never reach the first pit stop but run out on say lap 18 and DNF. It makes calculating the fuel load much more important. You can be aggressive and load "just enough" fuel but risk a DNF or be ultra conservative and maybe run an entire stint with 3 litres too much fuel carrying all that extra weight slowing you down.

This would also allow people to run a little heavier in earlier stints thus reducing the fuel to be loaded in later stints and as a result doing faster pit stops.

That's true, I agree, yes to refueling!

Refueling being removed really makes no sense because as Kevin said “the trigger for pit stops…changed”(paraphrasing but maintaining focus), I don’t see why the suggested changes like renaming the compounds or “banning” refueling would be added seeing as (at least in the case of the low fuel) managers would just fuel the car up for the entire race length and by the end of stint 1, the game doesn’t know you should pit on X lap for fresh rubber, and I personally like the compounds being called Super Soft, Soft, Medium, and Hard because then it wouldn’t be as confusing as it is in real life F1 and refueling adds in that nail biting question mark of not knowing who has that perfect race winning strategy call

I agree to an extent but what exactly does the patch bring to the game?

Refuelling, two-tyre rule and fastest lap point.

Oh ok, at least now the fastest lap is worth something? Also the 2 tire rule is it gonna work similarly to how it works in real life?

Wait and see. I haven't been Beta testing for a good number of years but from what I am told and understand should work similarly.

In the long run.  There are many racing formulas that do have refueling as a standard thing, look at NASCAR and INDY car for example.  So if anything, hosts should be given the choice to run with refueling stops or not.  That would make the game more realistic in my opinion.

Thus, your Idea has neither a yes or no from me.

I guess the host should be able to decide. But personally I think when they ended refueling F1 it nuked a big part of strategy and created a larger gap between the faster and slower teams.

For example, can you imagine if Ferrari or Alpine could start the race tomorrow with less fuel to go with the softer tires? The first 10 laps would be FAR more competitive!!... and guys like Alonso, Gasly, Vettel would be fighting far more this entire season with the top teams.

I'm ok with having the option. But personally I think no-refueling killed a special tactical and exciting part of F1 that used to allow a larger percent of the teams to be able to fight with and disrupt each other from the start of the races.

So I would always opt to have refueling ENABLED.

Now instead they suggest at one point reverse grid races in F1. 😐 How about bring back refueling safely (technology is there) so that midfield team's can get in the mix! lol

Me, I am going to have a separate, yes/no poll for all new selectable rules.  Having a poll now to decide which one gets decided first.
