Again my driver did get a call to pits in the final lap without need at that race:
http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/477657#race

Fuel left when call happened: 3,5l
Fuel left when finished: 1,6
Tires left at finish: 12%

At both races when that happened that driver had been overtaken in that final lap and dropped back from position #1 to position #2.

That thread has been started for the devs.
Please no comments like: you pressed the PIT button - I did not!

This shouldn't be happening (obviously). There must be some underlying cause, but it has happened twice to you in a few races, and nobody else is reporting it. That makes it quite a tough one to figure out.

Have you ever heard of this happening to anyone else? If we could see their results too maybe we can find a pattern.

Unfortunately not - as my league is not well attended...

It has happened to me a couple times, but not in a few seasons.  Lucky for me I was attending the races and was able to click it off before pitting.  Occasionally I will see the button light up and then turn off quickly.  But I do keep a close eye on it for the last lap just it case it wants to do it again.  I would not be able to tell you which season or races.  If I see it happen again, I'll make a note of it.  As a side note, this is one of the 3 glitches I watch for.  The other 2 are the pit speed at Monaco, and the phantom drs activation of only a few cars when they should not be able to have it on that lap.  Seems to only happen on tracks where the start/finish is in the drs zone.

Hi Todd, could you provide me with links to the race results for the races that this happened to you on? Perhaps we can find a connection here.

My driver got called to the pits in the second last lap, but that made sense, since I made the wrong fuel calculation, and I could only last another 1.7 laps.

When it happened to me, I do remember having plenty of fuel, and the light came on just before the entrance to the pits.  And this wasn't with a lap to go, it was coming to the checkered flag.

And once more:

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/481995#race

Again with the same driver.
Fuel left at finish:  1,9 l.

What was the same in all 3 races:
-) driver was 2nd, when PIT call shows up.
-) I did use more then 50% of KERS to close a gap in the lap before!

So maybe the fuel calculation does wrong, when using much KERS in the lap before the final lap?!

Any reaction on my post (#11) from the devs?
May I be right with the KERS using (in the lap before the final lap) may cause that?

It always happens to me when I OVERTAKE my other driver in last lap.

But it DISABLES by itself before sector 2.

J March, your first picture is a proof of what happens! I don't know what to say about your second one

Do not understand - it's a screenshot of the situation in the final lap, when the GREEN PIT Signal came up.
The only difference to screenshot#1 is that the screenshot has been taken before sector#1 split time...
It shows the situation at the beginning of the final lap aprox. 1 sec before driver#1 has reached the 1st sector split.

This is a very strange issue and I'm surprised we haven't heard more about it before. Perhaps it was introduced by one of the recent updates to the service, given that discrepancy. Although, it still seems to be a very rare occurrence when it does happen, most people are not experiencing it.

Please keep posting as much information as possible and details about the circumstances surrounding any occurrences and this will help us to pin down the cause.

The auto pit is in place to stop people from running out of fuel it has a 1 litre margin

You had 0.7 litres too much fuel
But auto pit thought we better pull him in because he will have less than 1 litre at the end of the race. :D

Every track is different the auto pit seems to run on it's own rules

you could be using 4.2 per lap
But auto pit will bring you in even when you have 4.7 in the tank.

It seems the days of pitting with 0.3 in the tank are coming to an end you will pit now with minimum of 1.3

Jack could cover his own back here very easy
F1 rules you need submit 1 Litre fuel for testing at the end or every race :D

It's a game :)

You are at the race you see Auto pit coming on
Grab you're calculator
It's up to you!
Risk running out of fuel and maybe finishing with 0.2 in the tank or pit It's you're choice!
You can click the button to cancel the pit stop :)

Jack! It is easy to see It's the Auto Pit value that's causing the problem.

Cicchitto was called to pit because he was on 5.0
Sahlstrom wasn't called to pit because he was on 5.1

Could you try changing Auto Pit from 1 to 0.9
see it that makes a difference?

But there is no real fix for it, no matter what value of Auto Pit has it is going to effect someone.
Only thing would be to remove Auto Pit altogether.

Changing the Auto Pit value to 0.9 would of meant in that race if Cicchitto was on 4.9 before reaching sector 1 he would still of been Auto Pitted so maybe 0.8 or 0.7 would be better
