I am going to agree with this motion.

Our league is rotating the Russian GP from our next season's Calendar. I love the track and racing there in iGP but the flag for the track needs to be removed/renamed at the very least.

Understandable that IGP is not a game that should involve Politics, but when you create a warmachine solely on false reasons and only to server an expansionists agenda that is here killing people who some of which play this game. It's unforgivable, it has to be renamed/reflagged or disabled. iGP won't suffer from this as Russia is expected to lose access to SWIFT and other major financial services offered world wide.

We understand that this is not the people's fault, but unfortunately this is the first time another country and invaded another country to seize territory which was proven when the Russian Spymaster accidentally spoke about absorbing two rebel provinces into the Russian Federation.

Igp is not expected to change due to the political situation but what has been done by Russia is unacceptable, I hope that the track will be eliminated or suspended as soon as possible both in real life and in the game. Support for Ukraine from Italy ????? #NOTOWAR

Hello! I'm from Russia. In our league, both Russians and Ukrainians, we are friendly and now we are worried about our guys from Ukraine. We have a terrible situation, unfortunately, we are not able to influence something. The ban on holding Sochi in real life is understandable, but what will it affect if this track is removed from the game?

I understand that Russians are becoming outcasts all over the world, but let's be friends at least in the game, we are not able to influence the situation in our country. Our opposition is either in prison or abroad, on the run. The army and police are too strong.

We do not want to be responsible for our power, but we do not have democracy, as in the civilized world, as in your countries.

I do not think that the removal of the Sochi track will somehow affect this.

Be strong, Ukraine!

It certainly won't change anything, but nobody likes to compete in a gp in a nation that is killing people and people, right now nobody likes the image of Russia anymore

I fully agree with you Alexey. Boycotting the track because is set in Russia doesn't change anything. Renaming it would be a little gesture. The problem is not Russia itself but the few who have the power there.

The most important thing is to wish the best to Ukraine.

The government of this country kills and commits assassination attempts on its citizens too. This government has no principles.

Please do not associate Russian citizens with our government.

Russia is a beautiful country and the citizens are really good and I respect them all, the only people I don't respect are the people who are in charge of the nation.
Obviously the removal might seem exaggerated to me too and I also like to race there, because it is a very beautiful track, but at the moment I would prefer to run it with a neutral flag and not with the Russian one.

Perhaps removing the Russian track is too much but changing the flag does not take anything, for example changing it with the Ukrainian flag.

I agree, what is happening is a disaster but let's not mix games and politics.  We cannot force the developers to remove iGP Russia, after all there are also other races that take place in countries that are not models of democracy.  However, players who want to show their support for Ukraine individually can change their avatar or nationality in iGP Manager to adopt the flag of this country.

Peace to Ukraine, not war !

I think we shouldn’t do any politics statements here.
Also i think our Russian gaming friends also like to race their home GP and they are not responsible for what happen atm.

Let’s stay together as humans without matter which country we are from.

Well, I don't agree if IGP removes the Russian track just because of political reasons.
Tbh, I am from Vietnam and I currently don't support either side of the battle, but, you know, we are a community and we don't want wars to happen, because they can affect the relationship between people around the globe, particularly Ukraine and Russian players.
Anyway, #NOTOWAR

See that's a very interesting conversation going on here.
I'd like to add my very own opinion: How can we, as human beings, watch this and stay apolitical?
Yes, igp is a game, yes it won't change anything, but every little bit matters.

Every little symbol, every little action, every little sign of solidarity with the poor people losing their lives over there matters, because even small actions compound.

As a community we should stand united and in solidarity with the poor people of Ukraine as well as the poor Russian citizens getting detained demonstrating against this despicable act of warmongering.
Gaming can unite people and we should seize our very small possibility to show unity in the community.

Thus, why not change the igp to "United we stand iGP" or something like this, a symbol of our mutual friendship?

No one chooses the country to be born in. Many russians are against the ongoing war, but there is barely anything they can do.

Many of those who disagree with the horrible decisions led to this war are true patriots and love their country even if it’s extremely hard to associate themselves with all the madness that the Russian government has set up. And they have already been left without a home race - a great joy for every fan and especially for a patriot - so why take even a virtual track away as well?

I’m not trying to defend those who neither started nor supported this terrible act of aggression toward an independent state, but I think their decisions and opinions should not affect all russians indiscriminately, at least in a game.

It’s always better to remove the flag or change the name of the track then to completely remove it, if something is needed to be done anyway.

I personally think removing it from the game is not a good motion as many Russian players who did not want this conflict to start still want to play on their home track. I think it should be the decision of the league host to decide whether they should get rid of the Russian GP.

I think this topic should be removed, disrespectful to the Russians ,who enjoy playing this game. Someone shouldn’t be suggesting for a removal of a track because of what is happening in real life, isolating them from the game. I say isolating because it’s the truth, no one has considered how they feel or their opinions regarding the topic. Not all Russians are guilty and shouldn’t be labelled so because of where they were born.
If you want to show your support you can change your flag, bio, profile or team name. No need to remove a track.

Lol the people here who claim it's a political issue need go to out and move away from the rock they live under.

As for our Russian Friends here in iGP, we do not shame you or your country. We hope you guys can rout the problem within your country and install a respectable establishment that restore peace to the World. NATO has never been interested in invading and controlling Russia. We are a group of nations that were at the mercy of a bully for so long and built an alliance to deter war on either side of the Atlantic after the horrifying devastation caused in World War 2 that our two peoples eventually came together to overcome. We are all with you too, we want the best for you, way better than what you have now.

It's unfortunate that Russia's leaders choose to live in the 20th Century. We know a lot of you have grown beyond this, where you don't care about your leaders anymore. You get up, start your day, go to work, come home, remind your families you love them, participate in your social lives with each other and then turn in and once again wake up to your loved ones. We love this and the majority of the world follows a very similar, if not even the same ritual day by day.

So please understand this request is not to punish Russian people. It is out of respect to Ukrainians who are having their lives destroyed on a lie, a lie that waves the flag that the track is based upon. This is not an actual Russia GP but remarked as one and should be renamed/removed to separate itself with a tyrannical party that heads a state, where it abuses the money and lives of it's own citizens so they can rule with money.

Simplest solution...

If you do not want to use the Russian race, do not select it in your seasons.  Then again.  If you want to show solidarity to the Russian PEOPLE, then, you may wish to be able to select this track now and again.

I would say that it should be up to managers in each league to ask of their hosts to omit this race every season, for now, at least...

If you don’t want to race in Russia, remove it from your calendar or be offline on the day of the race. I don’t see how removing, renaming or whatever will make any difference to anything so it’s pointless.
