Yes. It happened to me when I was in a tight title battle. (I cliched the title though :) )

Yes, it is. Managing fuel is very important.

Yes. In iGP the moment you run out of fuel you retire, which is a bit unrealistic...

Not really unrealistic, I suppose they could programme it so if you are in the final bit of the track (final sector itself would be easiest to code) you could get pushed into the pits and refuelled. And what about a system where the car has a conserve mode with about half a litre in a spare tank which you can run off, just you go half the speed?

Oh yeah, the part about a completely unrealistic retirement is true (that slipped away from my mind).

Because technically when you run out of fuel, you are essentially just coasting to a stop. I hope iGP has changed that, but in case they haven't I'm going to post about it.

I'm going to share a tidbit about the new iGP you may find interesting:

In the new iGP cars don't just instantly disappear on retirement. When running out of fuel they gradually decelerate to a stop making it more realistic. If you're lucky enough to limp to the garage you can carry on!

Nice, No more 1 litre extra to reach the pit box, Pit crew can push the car in the pit-lane or do you still need to get to the box yourself?

You have to get to the box yourself, pit crew pushing the car hasn't been programmed yet!

Can your drivers do what they can in F1 2010 and run over the pit crew if they forgt to brake? Wouldn't be fair or sporting but it would be hilarious.

Good but if a car (following the same trajectory) go in pit faster or slower that wont change anything looking fuel consumption because it will take more time slower so instead of that like in all codemaster f1 series add lean.normal.rich mix

And that wont only impact on reach pit or not reach pit ("to be or not to be xD) but in the whole race by starting with -1 laps fuel ... I guess different mix are better because ur still competitive and it will be more realistic too than guys pushing the car even if it happened RARELY

Not just in 2014, everything between 10 and 15 has it.

I suggested something like this previously, as a side thing to push levels which instead of heating tyres would heat engine, and would be faster at the expense of higher fuel loads

I've corrected :)

It is something worth looking into having to manage tyres, engine & braking temps over the course of the race it's all well and good having the best car, drivers and strategy but if you throw in a few high temps it will slow you down a lot lol.
obviously the developer Ricky is needing something to do, now that testing is underway that he is spending time on the forums :P

Could be drivers job but pitwall and manager should be able to enable.

Now now don't say that :(
If you turn around and say it's the drivers job to manage tyres, engines & brakes they will take away the push levels & strategy box, we will just be watching the race unfold.
All we will be doing as managers is negotiating contracts the staff we hire will do everything :D
