Race restarted mid-way through

What did you try to do?
A normal league race.

What happened instead?
The race I just competed in (Italy) reset to lap 2 and closed up all the gaps on approx lap 31, completely changing the result, and also making us do effectively 80 laps of Monza.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Wi-fi

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
Both

What is the model of your device?
It happened for all seven managers attending in my league - Mateusz Beast, Jerome Chabot, Kieron Wigglesworth, Smoky Rubber, Franko Susanj and Anthony Rioux.

What is the operating system?
iOS

What is the version number of the operating system?
Happened on all devices (PC, mobile, tablet) for all people, all with different OS.

What operating system is your PC?
See above.

Which browser did you experience the problem in?
See above.

Can the bug be reproduced?
I do not think it is possible to reproduce, but all other managers can verify that it happened.

Additional comments:
It is absolutely not ok, if the original lap 31 results can be accessed, then they should be re-instated as the final result. If not, we have voted in favour of a re-run of the race next Sunday.

To join the race on my PC, it just kept loading at 3% all the time.

Yeah the game just crashed after 31 laps. Then when we logged back in, we were on lap 2 again.

I could only join on mobile and was shocked when the race had only complete 5 laps half an hour after it had started.

On Chrome I was stuck at 2-3 %
On Microsoft Edge I was stuck at 13 %

We've identified the reason why people are unable to connect and are working to resolve it now.

The races restarting was likely an attempt by server management to fix the issue and they targeted the wrong process / area of the system, causing races to restart. I expect a bunch of race re-run requests tonight, apologies to those affected.

I assume it is impossible to reinstate the original running order, will all the re-run requests be granted or is that too difficult to do?

The connecting to races issue has been resolved. It was impacting one server only and the web viewer only (app and desktop standalone were still connecting fine).

Unfortunately, as it was the weekend, I was quite far from home when this struck and passed instructions to server management on how to resolve it. It seems they got a little overzealous in resolving it and ended up restarting all the processes including the races that were running at the time, even those that likely weren't impacted by the issue. 😬 Now I am home, I've explained to them the nature of the issue and how to resolve it better in future. Hopefully this can't happen again.

If new results have posted, they will have overwritten the previous ones. Race re-run requests are always granted and dealt with quite swiftly by support. The host of the league can make a request here to have any race re-run if it was impacted by service issues such as this one.

Same problem here, I always run in Webview, I don't have the app installed. It was a disaster for me (Sunday Racing).
I know for a fact that at least David Jimenez (https://igpmanager.com/app/d=profile&manager=36250) and me had it. We finished the race around 5 minutes ago :/

I cleared Cache but it still did not work.

Web View on PC. As explained before the problem happens in Web View, I just tried to enter by phone & worked as usual

I could not enter the race, which was at 15:30 Turkish time. I couldn't log in from the computer, not the phone.

Same problem. Live races would not load on web browser but will on phone app and the IGP app for the computer.

The threads on this have been merged. It was some continuation of the issue from yesterday, I needed to repeat the same actions on more than one server it turned out.

Yesterday it seemed it was isolated to one server, but today it showed up on two other servers.
