We have discovered there may be an issue with re-running races and in response to this we are revising how requests to re-run races are handled.
An issue may arise where the qualifying session begins late, forcing the race to begin late as well. Not all races re-run are expected to encounter this issue. However, since we cannot determine which races will encounter the issue, we are taking a broad approach by wiping the results and skipping the races that have encountered an issue.
What does wiping the results and skipping of a race do?
Wiping race results removes all existing practice, qualifying, and race results, along with any stats changes that can be traced to a race. This affects all tiers. Skipping a race marks the qualifying session and the race as complete. When a race is skipped, compensation in the form of tokens will be sent to all league members.
Here's how to ensure your request to skip a race is valid. A request can only be fulfilled if all of the below conditions are met:
1. The league experienced an issue affecting a significant number of players within the league. The Support team reserves the right to determine what is considered significant.
2. The league's host must submit the request.
3. The league's host must provide the name of their league and name of the race which experienced a problem, along with a clear description of the problem (such as what they or others saw and/or experienced) and how many players in the league were affected.
4. The request must be made at least 24 hours before the last race of the season.
What if the last race of the season experienced an issue?
In this case, submit a request within the first few hours of experiencing the issue and explicitly mention the issue was experienced on the last race of the season.
This revision on race re-run requests will stand until we can revisit the topic once the issue described at the start of this post has been resolved.
