Just finished my race , so I went to design points that was clearly showing 172, I added 8 to it thinking it would round it up to 180.
Now it's showing 156 ? Now I do have a engine supplier that is +24 for the next race which is actually the difference between the two figures.
However I did think when adding to my acceleration points it would add it not take it away ?

Hey Simon,
I logged in your account and couldn’t find any issue. It’s showing 180 acceleration points.

Yes is a strange one, that's what it was suppose to go up but it actually took the design points off.
When I logged back in at 10pm it was showing 180 again I'm really not sure what happened but felt the need to post as as you can imagine I was a little shocked when it first happened ?

When points are added, the supplier boost from custom engines disappears until the page is reloaded.
I assume your DP in acceleration is 156 with +24 from engine taking it to 180? If so, it visually changed from 148+24=172 to 156+0=156, which is why it appeared to decrease.
This is a visual glitch and does not appear to affect the simulator, and if you need to see your actual car just reload the page.
