"No Change" in Training

The last three times I've filled one of my drivers stat meter in training I have gotten a "no change" message.

What's up with this?

It's only happening to one driver.

The skills in this particular area are at your level cap, and you can't train them further. I've proposed removing this restriction and handling it differently in this thread: http://igpmanager.com/?url=forum-thread/5613

Hey Jack,

Understood and thanks for the fast reply. I think part of the confusion lies in how deeply nested all the interface elements are. I thought I had set it to "All." Perhaps there could be a warning if you are training when you are up against the cap?

Another one of the reasons I've proposed changing training in the way I did is because there isn't really a clean, non-hacky way to do what you've suggested. I think a better solution is to allow training beyond the level cap but slow it to a standstill, so you can still get an extra level or two, but it will take a while to earn them.

I not like this. It no longer say no change. But what it does say instead of +stamina it just say stamina and does nothing.

Wondering if you've already implemented this... all of a sudden ALL of my drivers are only getting +1 per Training click.

Levels are uncapped now, but to prevent exploitation progress slows to 1% per session beyond your level cap. I've proposed a further alteration to how the level cap works which would accelerate your training to the next level: http://igpmanager.com/?url=forum-thread/5699

Thanks the fast reply!

I'll be putting together some thoughts on a few threads in the next few days. It seems like the way it is currently implemented makes it so if ANY of the stats are at or above your cap the entire training slows.

So, for example... I'm at level 9. My reserve driver has Mental stats as follows...

Composure: 4
Experience: 3
Focus: 9
Morale: 6
Knowledge: 10

So, it seems like I should be able to train Composure, Experience, and Morale since they are all below 9, but since Focus & Knowledge are maxed, I can't.

Is that correct?

You can train any skill as high as you want now, but when the overall equals your level / level cap then training slows to a virtual standstill. This means you can skew a driver's skills in areas you deem more important.

It works differently to before, where it would just get everything up to the level cap then stop changing it.
