There are times when people cannot get online to control the race. So we then have to setup the tyres beforehand. I think this area needs looking at as the rain depth increases or decreases by 0.1 mm. You can only change the tyres at 1mm intervals which is way too late if it starts raining as it takes several laps to get to 1mm before the dry tyres are changed to intermediate/wet tyres.
Is it possible to have this changed. Plus it would be a good idea to have and extra one for changing from intermediate to wets.
Not being able to get on for a race has cost me valuable points.

Not a bad idea but i think more for setting both inters and wets though instead of one or the other.  As it stands it's best to set inters for 'above zero' and wets at 3mm, but you have to decide how heavy the rain will be from the forecast and practice runs closer to race time on which one you set up. The other way is where the forecast has it with a cloud and 1 rain drop (light rain), for example, you can set inters in your actual strategy for the entire race or for the first stint. It's more ideal to do the strat dry, set inters at above zero (or wets at 3mm) and use whatever dry suits you if it stops raining.

This is something that has been asked for on many occasions and is a regular topic of conversation on the volunteer Discord server. Personally I agree with the suggestion but I also understand why nothing has been done.

First of all, for online leagues where the manager is attending, AS only needs to select the correct tyre for qualifying. If it is set up correctly, most of the time it does this OK. As soon as you log on to the race viewer AS is disabled leaving the manager to react to changeable weather conditions.

It all falls apart when there is changeable weather (which is not that common) and a player is not managing the race either because they are busy doing something else or it is an offline league.

In the first scenario, Advanced Strategy is a secondary issue. If you can't attend an online race you're already at a huge disadvantage because AI boost and PL management is no match for an attending player.

Regarding offline leagues. Everyone has the same problem so it becomes a lottery and in any case the argument from the Devs will be that the game was designed for online racing. They are unlikely to expend a lot of time and effort recoding AS to support offline leagues when that is not how they intended the game to be played.

Finally, the issue about managers who can't attend every race of the season because real life occasionally gets in the way. Maybe there's a different solution, but instead of going "off-topic" here I will create a new thread... Championship Points - Best X of Y Results

Hey managers,

The game was created to be played online so this kind of suggestion aren’t our priority at the moment. Thanks!

In addition to what Kevin said set AS at 0mm and as soon as it goes to 0.1mm on track you will pit for Inters

Actually its possible to pit while it is raining but the display is still 0.0mm. I assume that would be the work of additional decimal places in the background.

Simplest answer

Just set putting inters on at 0mm...
