New: League Host Tools

If you navigate to the My Leagues page and you are a League Host, you will notice a bunch of new features to make it easier for you to manage your league.

This comes after improvements to the league search and promotion of active leagues. Now hosts can understand exactly how an active league is defined and how to make their league appear at the top of search.

New Insights

The biggest addition is the new League Vitals dashboard. This gives hosts a clear view of how active their leagues are, what is helping or hurting that activity score, and what actions can move a league toward Active or Very Active status.

You can now see things like setup preparation, strategy preparation, race check-ins, inactive managers, and league interaction in a much clearer way. We have also added clearer activity charts, better manager and rules tooltips, and easier access to league boosts and league creation from the My Leagues page.

The goal is simple: hosts should not have to guess what is happening in their league or what they need to do next.

This is the first version of the new host tools, and we will keep improving it based on your feedback. League Hosts are a huge part of our iGP Manager community, so we want to give you better tools to build stronger, more active leagues.

What is 'Closure Risk'?

Another new addition in this update is that inactive leagues can be actively shut down for inactivity. There'll be a warning period first and the host will be notified and given time to rectify the situation. This should ensure the quality of leagues rises across the board.

Coming Soon - More Community Outreach

I will also set up a new official iGP Manager Discord soon, where hosts of the top leagues that are doing the best work in our community will be able to interact directly with me on behalf of their league. This should make it easier for us all to stay in touch and for development to keep moving in a direction that helps you to grow your leagues.

It might happen as early as next week so stay tuned. Mails will be sent to all the hosts who are invited who are running the top leagues.

The system will remain invitation only for some time so I can listen closely to opinions and interact. If it is successful we might look at a public server too, we'll see.

It's a fair criticism and something I noticed myself. I will remove the check for managers online during the race for offline leagues.

Some others have pointed this out to me as well but the number is not accurate on that particular metric at this point. I think it needs a few runs to collect data before it will be accurate.

EDIT: this should now be implemented - offline leagues will not be measured on who is online during the race.

They are supposed to be collapsed at the end of each season / merged into more active groups. I'm not sure if it's working as intended right now though, I may need to review it soon.

I've revised the calculation and made the data cut off point the 8th of May. It was looking way too far back before we had data on this.
