I found many leagues had hardly any activity and it was very hard to choose a league with sufficient activity, however this could have been made a lot more easier if it shows next to each manager their activity as a % and also how many days they have been playing.

I agree... fantastic suggestion.

100% make it easier..

I suggested making the league reputation available to be seen, as making everyones activity public might not be appreciated.

Also, once Jack implements the "auto kicking of inactives" is should only take a matter of weeks for all these ghost leagues to clear up (if I understand correctly how its going to be applied).

But definitely, new users need to be given a very clear way to tell if they are joining an active league.

edit - Maybe just show "x teams prepared cars in the last race" or something. It doesnt encroach on anyone's privacy

Yes plz include the options for sorting in Hall of fame reputation order (like old game), option to include full leagues (like old game) & how many that are inactive or active in each league.

i would add also the seniority in the league. So you can understand how often the people log in and how long these drivers are in the league.

I agree with all this really, i mean i've had to change leaguesand am now in one of the few that are for active players only (i'm admin actually, after the last admin decided to stop playing)!
It might be a good approach for the devs to look into the reasons why people become inactive in the first place, i mean it might be that many people are joining up to a league before finding that the game isn't for them - and there must be ways to address this (off top of my head i would say that having casual races might provide a good "taster" for new players, or perhaps if the app were more stable, or if a new player could only join certain leagues which are shorter duration eg 3 races per season).

I don't know the answer, but the ability to see "x players prepared for the last race" would certainly make me more willing to switch out of an inactive league

Like a preleague (managed by the system) for new players... after 20 races you can choose a real league...

This idea was on my list, but glad to see it's popular too! :) I was going to have something like an activity bar indicating the level of activity (high to low) so you can quickly decide which league to pick when joining.

I believe there should be a list, hof, or something for leagues according to average reputation, activity, date created, and so on. Have a list of all leagues that's easy to access for all.

I have just started playing the game 11 days ago, and joined a new league that had several other players joining at the same time. I am now the only player who logs on during the races, 1 other player logs on daily other than that everyone else is inactive. So a way of knowing if a league is active would be a massive help, it would also help if new players were directed to active league.

I notice that on most rookie tiers, you have tons of new players joining and becoming inactive almost as soon as they join. Even though a league's pro and elite tiers may be very active, rookie just tends to be mostly inactive players coming and going. My current league is very active on pro and elite, but in spite of my host's best efforts to kick out inactive rookie managers, the rookie tier just gets filled up with new swarms of inactives as soon as the old ones are kicked, and the cycle continues.

I consider it a game-wide culture, and thus it's best for you to promote yourself to pro as soon as possible and then find an active pro tier somewhere. I think the way the game directs new players to join a league immediately, before the player has yet to explore the interface, read the rules, learn about the game, etc. is not the best way to introduce players to the game. There should at least be a better structured tutorial complete with perhaps a couple of tutorial races before allowing new players to join the standard leagues IMO. In spite of that, though, it's not surprising to expect a good number of new players becoming inactive after a few days. This is common with every game.

Well at least we now have Joey's Beginners' Guide.
