Practice Bug

Hi, I really enjoy this game but have come across a recent problem. (I also posted this as my review on the app before realizing there was a bug forum) Sometimes in practice, I will try one setup, do the 5 practice sessions until the driver tells me its perfect. But sometimes, I will go back to the practice session, and the driver will tell me that everything is either much too high or much too low. My most recent example was today. I am currently in my own league that I created that has races every day. Yesterday was the German iGP, and I went to practice, as usual, to prepare for todays Hungarian iGP, and I chose "ideal setup" for one of my drivers, costing me 3 coins. (I only had 8 in total) it gave me 9 ride height with 19 wing level and soft suspension. I did one practice lap to ensure that it was perfect, and the driver said it was. On my other driver, I gave him the same settings, and he also said that it was perfect. I used all 5 practice sessions for each driver to check tyre wear and fuel consumption for each tyre to get a good strategy. So I did all that, edited the strategy and closed the app because the race wasnt until 6 pm (i started at 11 am) 2 hours later, I checked the app, and went to the practice section, and both of my drivers said that both wing levels and ride height were much too low!!! This makes no sense, as I did click 'ideal setup' and the drivers said it was perfect! Now not only do I not have the proper setup and will most likely finish last in the race, my tyre wear is also all screwed up meaning that my startegy that i based off of practice was horribly wrong! So im pretty much screwed. I did it with a couple of friends at the same time, because we are in the same private league that I created, and they expirienced the same exact problem!

Yesterday or the day before I used tokens to set my car because iGP was showing wrong informations. Today it happened again with different tires at 1% and 2% and car setting at 35 or 30 and message of to low when real setting are below 12 or 10.

I need my tokens back because developers mistakes (needless to say I'll never buy tokens to spend on developers bugs and game mistakes).

Most likely it started to rain in the meantime which requires both a lot more ride height and wings in 3 steps depending on how much water is on the track. The car with ideal setup bought will be adjusted accordingly. The driver just says much too low because this comment is based on the setup of the last practice lap and not the one the car is set up at moment. The numbers for ride height and wing should have changed though.

Hi, when you purchase the ideal set up, the cars will automatically adjust their settings to the weather and track conditions. When you come back, the driver complains.

This is a known bug I think. It just has not had time to be addressed yet.

It's strange that your other driver who didn't have an ideal set up purchased for his car complained too. That's a first.

Hi Ionutz, it seems there's a bug with purchasing the ideal set up.

The ideal set up adjust itself to match the track and weather conditions and then the drivers complain the set up is all wrong. If I recall correctly, this may be a known bug.

maybe practice laps were not working and you kept the message from the 1st lap?

Maybe it was just Wet Light Rain when you used the ideal setup to end up with a 30+ setup

I confirm the diferent tires and setings and 1% useage results per lap. And I confirm light rain when settings were tried and sunny when tokens were used. Does this matter for 30+ different settings?

But you cant be 100% sure it wasn't raining when you look at other peoples posts it's raining and after their practice lap it show not raining. All we can say with 100% certainty is the track was still wet when ideal setup was used.

Not a very good example but if you pour a glass off water on the road the water doesn't disappear instantly, it gradually dries up.

But ride height and wing level are different for rainny weather and sunny weather, on the same race? I knew only tires must be used differently..

yes different setups
Dry setup (Low numbers)
Inter setup (low-medium numbers)
Wet setup light rain (medium - high numbers)
Wet setup heavy rain (high numbers)
Setup is 1-50 remember

there is maybe more but that all I have seen so far

Dont bring monaco in to it because it's just high downforce track anyway dry setup in is 16 & 20 range to start with lol

That happened to me today also. It was sunny but the config was for wet. Then I saw a race on the same circuit (Hungary) and it was raining before. When I saw it was sunny already but the track was wet. 1.2 mm and it was getting almost dry at the end. 0.2 mm. On In this game that's a cool thing. Makes it more realistic. Iountz, I think you were unlucky at that moment when you did the practice. You got a wet track. I don't think it was a bug or error. Just bad luck.

I had 15minutes of rain in my other account today.
Nice Inter setup
SS 7% wear
S 4% wear
M 2% wear
H 2% wear
I 2% wear
W 3% wear

Unfortunately those wear rates didn't carry over. S 6% in the dry with an inter setup. Would of been a very interesting race & something to shout about if it had of been 4% like practice showed.

Was the rain at the begging of the race or after? I had one race I started whit sunny whether at Monaco 5 laps after started the rain 3.6mm and going up till 4.7 mm at the end . I forgot to change the last pit and the car went whit ss for the last 10 laps whit only 1% wear

I haven't had any problems with this,but then again I tune my own car,it's more fun that way,just remember the game is a beta version,there is bound to be a few bugs,which iam sure they will get around to correcting.

I just used the button "best setup" for 3 tokens. After I tested it said it was not perfect, now I lost 3 tokes without the best setup.
Please fix this.

This is a known bug, where the set up is actually good but the drivers complain regardless.
