live race on iPad app: a disaster

This is how I see the race on the app for iPad. ghost drivers, wrong race positions, missing car icons, missing tires icons..



Grosjean seems to be very tired, but it's only a bug :D

tried to remove and reinstall the app, but nothing changes. The problem started a week ago.

in this other pic you can see the wrong numbers on track. the cars are sorted by position, but the car icons seem to be switched one with each other (see cars 28-29-30!). the list on the right side is absolutely bugged.
poor Grosjean seems to be without energy and without tires..

Just to collect some info, is the problem happening in all races since it started taking place? Or is it intermittent?

It happens in every race since it started about a week ago. I had the same problem with my browser (Safari OS X) until yesterday, when it restarted to work well. The app has been removed and reinstalled, but the problem persists. In my league other users are having similar problems with their app, they wrote about in the league forum.

here we go again! live race, now. icons are sorted by position
missing cars (where are #7 and #11?), Magnussen really tired after only 16 laps (lol), ranking on the right side clearly bugged
tried both with the stable version and the beta. quality moved on all positions from very low to very high. nothing changes..



on the contrary, the browser (Safari) works fine

I just joined on my iPad (got one this week to test iGP), and it's working fine in spectate mode. A couple of questions:

1) Does this only happen when you are managing? (as in, it works fine in Spectate mode)
2) Does it only happen when overtakes occur?

These are the things I think will give us a clearer hint as to why it is happening.

Overtakes are not relevant, it happens throughout all the race, but it works definitely better in Spectate mode



I have an only ghost car (#5, not present on track. in the ranking is showed with a strange tire icon and no position)

P.S. by the way, did you notice that on iPad app you can't rotate the screen?..

Thanks, that makes it a lot clearer. It seems to be a manager-mode only issue.

I am aware of the screen rotation, it will be available in the next update.

Are you definitely using the latest version of the app? I'm not convinced yet, because a lot of these were known issues in older versions of our iOS app, but should have been fixed in the current live version on the app store.

I've just been watching a race as a manager on iPad and the list is in perfect order. Try clearing the cache and all data for the app and uninstalling it completely, then downloading it anew and installing it again. I think you're just on an older version, going by what I'm seeing.

The app is version 2.1, last release. I had uninstalled and re-downloaded it yet, but i don't know how to clear the cache and data on iOS..

Hi Jack,

Another manager, Pavol Bogdan is also reporting the same issue in the same league, tier and I THINK same drivers. I will mail them and ask them to post here, more info might help.

Yeah, now I remember! That ghost driver in the pic (Willian, with the bugged tire icon), he is a Pavel's driver. Pavel Bogdan has the same problem that I have, she wrote about it in the league forum a few days ago. We need more info.

One thing I do notice, which is odd. In the screenshot, the driver in 5th is named simply Rhaegar.

A search of iGP does not show a single team, manager, or driver by that name, yet here there they https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=1116946

Also, neither driver has a second name.

First image is simply "Willian" and second is Rhaegar.

I have done a search for Willian, and cant see a driver, but they are in our league. https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=1182904

Could it be the lack of second name is the issue?

Android app! So it isn't only an iOS issue..
Can be a specific problem relating to our league or tier?

Its unlike its tier/league related, specially since your second screen shot from a race in Spain is spectating The MJL league.
It may be purely coincidence, but I think its related to the single name drivers. Its highly unusual, but easy enough to test. I will rename a drive tonight if I can.

Do either you or Pavol access the race via PC or Laptop? I will test both tonight if I can.

Ok, so burned through 15 coins on my main account. You cant leave a blank name, but can leave a space!

I have renamed both my drivers on this team, one leave a blank space for first name, the other blank space for second name. I will test tonight.

Looking at the test times, I think its most likely the case where the first name is just a space instead of a name.
