May I give my 2cents of suggestions?
I hope yes, so...

GEARBOX
Pls insert one more part with Engine Tyre and Gaz, this part is Gearbox, managed as the Engine is currently managed.

USED ENGINE and GEARBOX
Both Engine (from now E) and Gearbox (from now G) have to be managed by managers in a more realistic way.
When a Manager wants to change E or G, the game have to ask if the player wants to change with a new one or a used one.
If the manager's choice is "used" the game shows the used E or G and for each shows the race(s) already completed by the part(s)

PRACTICE FUEL
Please allow to set the quantity of fuel in free practice.
This is a way for test the car with fuel as well a way to "hide" to others team the real potential of the car.

Thanks for your reply.

GEARBOX SETUP
as per Suspentions, Gearbox have to be setted in race with 3 options: Short (for circuits like Monaco and Singapore), Medium, and Long (for circuits like Monza)

I've been contemplating posting photos of the old version of iGP used to go so we can rally new players and get some of those things back. Have some good screenshots saved in a different forum I post to.

Somebody get me my mechanics and engineers!!!

AMAZING!!!!
With 7 settings in my opinion we need 10 tests...
But yes, I like it.
I have never seen this setup, I am playing from end of august

Lorenzo, this was how iGP used to be before the launch of the current version. In my opinion the old version was much more interesting with many more variables to adjust.
The downsides... there was no app, you had to play with a browser, the race viewer was only available to subscribers and relied on Oracle. Jack also says that the old race viewer would never be able to support the number of players we now have.

Duc... that's old IGP speak for PL1

Should have a risk to doing pl5 beyond just tyre wear. Would love a crash system but that might be pushing the limits

For example: two cars at the same second, with pl5: CRASH!! Three cars at the same second, with pl4: CRASH! Four cars at the same second, with pl3: MASSIVE CRASH!!
It would be amazing...

Yeah, it would be "amazing" to have 20 cars retired at the first corner.

Sorry but I don't understand why with the old serup we can hane 20 crashed cars at the first corner...
Maybe my English is not good enough, maybe I'm only stupid, but I think that explain - rather than joke my "amazing" - could be a good way
Otherwise I can say bye bye and go back to the italian forum

Lorenzo, you're not stupid. Some people think crashes would be a good idea and Rory doesn't..... it's called sarcasm. LOL. I support Rory, crashes would be awful and if introduced would stop me from playing the game.
By the way, there were no crashes in old iGP either.

First: It is very rare to have four cars, with pl3 or higher, in the same second. Even in the first corner.
Second: Anyway, the devs can determine a reasonable lapse of time (less than one second if necessary).
Third: If you know the rules of crashing you can avoid be involved controlling your pl (in my example, with pl1 and pl2 you're not going to crash ever).
Fourth: This is just an example about how you can introduce the crash-factor in a game like iGP.
Fifth: There was a fifth point but I can't remember it :P

If crashes are totally random, I agree. But if crashes are just a controlled risk with clear rules (like in my example, that is just an example!), I think it could be an interesting strategy factor.

Teddy, I imagine in our league, elite tier, almost all of the cars (with attending managers) go into turn 1 of the first lap at PL5 no matter what tyres they're running. They're all very close together so chances are there would be carnage and half the cars would be out of the race. I'd rather not have that happen despite the realism.

BUT if you know the carnage could happen, you will think twice before pushing level 5, specially at the start of the race...

But in real life my name is Sebastian Vettel, I only do PL5 into the first corner no matter what the consequences! ;-)
