Java 7 Update 7 - Can't load 2D?

When I got home today it made me update to Java 7 Update 7, but since doing so I can't load 2D? It just stays on Connecting....

Livetiming and controls work fine though. Tried 4 different browsers (opera/ff/chrome/ie)

This happened to me aswell, same as you have tried different browsers and livetiming works ok. Any ideas?

Same problem here, won't work on Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox.

Very frustrating

Well I just joined a race and waited 1 minute, but no luck. Still just stays on Connecting.... during that minute this is what has come up in the console, and it stops there. Just waited a couple of minutes but nothing new is coming through (not even sure if it's supposed too, I'm new to this :P)

2D not working. Why?

It doesn't appear to be limited to Java 7.  Here is the output from my Java Console.

Just got home again and still the same problem here. Almost 24 hours now, any update?

Sorry, I shouldn't really say it's the same. Last night live timing was working atleast, tonight nothing is. Java also reading differently.

I watched/spectated a race today and 2D was now working.

I am able to connect fine, the server probably didn't update to the latest Java until later on yesterday.

The only issue I am having is downloading the track image which seems to not always work.

Until yesterday, I had the old Java version installed and everything worked fine. Since I noticed that some guys here have trouble with the new version, I chose to stick to the old one until everything is sorted out. But when I wanted to start my race today, I had to load the new Java in order to get 2D or live timing running. This pretty much ruined my race.

Would have been nice to get an official message about such important software changes, your in game E-Mail account maybe. Might have been announced in some forum, but can't read through all the posts before a race.

This is the exact issue I'm having David. Unfortunately the work to not working ratio is about 1:30 lol

mine is now not loading, it has forced me to update java and now wont work

Not sure if its related but I was able to do a 2d race earlier on my 2nd account, even though its a free to play account.

I had lengthy trouble connecting tonight, after 2D prompted an update.

Once updated, it continued to prompt the Java update even though I just completed it. JUST Managed to get it loaded before the race but a few people in the league were late in. Just posting my experience, might help, might not.

Any information about 'anomolies' in the game is useful as it might just help to pinpoint what is going on.

It doesn't even load the java applet for me, running os x 10.8.1 and java 7 update 7. Tried in multiple browsers.

timing control didnt work for me and seems like most others tonight 

I quit...  this is the final straw - it's a pretty poor interface to begin with the game has many limitations but this java issue just saw me finish 3 laps down from a 1,2 on the grid because I was stuck on push hard and couldn't get in to change it.
