I hope I'm not spoiling anything, but age doesn't do much of anything except serve as a retirement clock ?
Drivers don't drop off in performance as they age. They also seem to begin considering retirement as early as 34, but start thinking about it more and more at 36 years old and beyond.
I fired a driver in February 2018, and shortly after he retired on his own!
Although an anomaly, he retired at age 31! Pulled a Nico Rosberg.

I dont know how much or if the salary increases much with age (number of renewed contracts etc). That could be a factor possibly.. I've read about some ridiculously expensive driver salaries, but not experienced it my self yet.
