Has there been a change so that the fuel needed for the first stint is added to qualifying? So if your heavy it will effect your qualifying results?

No. Fuel has zero effect.

Hurmet
No. Fuel has zero effect.

That’s what I thought, but someone in my league said they’d changed it and not really announced it, and that’s why he’d been qualifying 5/6th instead of at the front, because he was 1 or 2 laps heavier for qualifying

This 'they' have announced on forums that they would not consider introducing race fuel for qualification since it would lead to more boring races.

Lower Q position can be due to numerous factors. Car design may not be perfect for said track, wrong turn in car development, etc.

Fuel economy does impact it, your car carries 1 lap of fuel, however much it is, for the qualifying lap, but not starting fuel load. That might be what he meant?

If we are discussing Fuel Economy, then from what I have experienced, tracks that are demanding on fuel consumption will benefit most from Fuel Economy also in qualifying. At least I have noticed reasonable gains from FE vs dF comparison where FE seemed to be as good, if not better.

With other tracks I have yet to experience any significant change to even consider FE as part of the Big4 group.

I would just like to ask for help because my Qualifying has been horrific but I cant figure out why
I always end up starting near the back of the grid but I have the 5th or 6th best car in my league
