These things are fundamentally windmills that are connected to gearboxes that are connected to dynamos.  No turbines in sight!  If you want to see an actual turbine, look in the engine compartment of a turbocharged car, or the generator room of a hydrocarbon/nuclear fired power station, or even the internal workings of a jet engine.  Those are the most readily accessable turbines that can be found
