It would be great if league host could have an option in settings to set 2 tyre compound per race for season.
Anyone who hasn't changed compound in race could either be forced into a pitstop on last lap or have points penalty.
What do you think?

It's been asked for many times before and I agree, yes it would make the game better for those leagues that want to run with tyre rules. Also a host option to disable refuelling for leagues who want to align their rules closer to real F1.

Now 3D has been rolled out (albeit with some teething problems) Jack says the team are turning their attention to gameplay so who knows what will happen. Keep making the suggestions but don't hold your breath.

Our league has been dreaming about this for a year now.

2 tyre rules is good, but the best is if the host should be able to choice which 2 tyres compound players are allow to use every single race.
Example:
Australia: SS and M allowed
Chiba: S and M allowed
Abu Dhabi: M and H allowed
Etc...

The idea is not bad, but for this you need a little more types of kits (I mean the tyre regulations of 2018)

Is there a possibility of them giving more options to the league host then, as I know previously they didn’t want to give the league hosts too many options, especially ones like this?

One of my teams races in a 2 compound league and it s very easy to implement manually.

I don’t believe that the host should be able to dictate what compounds you have to use on a race by race basis.  This would impinge on the fundamental point of the game which is to devise the best strategy based on the track and weather conditions. Using 2 compounds make the challenge trickier, but the manager should always be the one that decides which 2 compounds to use.

I agree, it should be down to each manager to choose whichever tyres suit their strategy.
This is more about setting the league as a minimum 2 tyre compound per race with an in-built penalty for those that don't comply.

Sorry but I have no idea what plans Jack has regarding the direction he's taking the game. He did post something a few weeks ago saying they were going to concentrate on ironing out the problems that were introduced with the 3D update and then move on to game play. IIRC he mentioned something about tyre balancing.

I don't recall Jack ever saying he was against giving more control to league hosts. I know José reads all suggestions and makes notes even though he doesn't have a lot of time to respond or enter into debate on the forum. So keep making suggestions, but remember changes take time, and don't be disheartened if you don't get feedback from staff.

If you let managers decide all you need is 1 person to not agree or doesn't setup it ruins it all, that is why the host should be able to toggle it on or off

Not really.  Anyone who doesn’t play by the rules or penalties imposed gets kicked.  Has worked fine in both leagues I race my main account (this one).  All introducing an auto function will do is cause those who don’t agree to leave by choice so the outcome is the same and the devs have spent valuable codingtime on a function that isn’t needed or provides no benefit over the manual.

The problem with kicking people is I'm seeing not just in my league but in a lot of others that the league numbers aren't there.  Kicking people just creates another issue. Besides, we've all missed the odd race and not done setup and still earnt points, so this would just keep it fair for everyone.

There are a lot of active leagues out there, you just have to find them.

A lot of league do the 2 tyre rule and just enforce it themselves. In active leagues, if people don’t do set ups, and therefore breach it, they are never anywhere near the points anyway, so it matters less. I do agree it makes sense to have it as a league option, though disagree about the number of different sets of tyres, as I think this will limit strategy choices. I also don’t get giving lower level teams more tyres, doesn’t make sense to me

just to write it down:

What would be nice is if hosts could:

- set a tyre rule (2-3-4 compounds, whatever)
- set a limited amount of tyres for a season
- set refueling on/off
- give penalties (take away points and so on)

I agree. Maybe having a tyre allocation per race instead of the entire season could work better.
