I think we should have ERS instead of KERS. This would mean it is rechargeable. This would mean more strategy options, such as slowing at the end of a straight to regain charge. I think this would create closer more exciting races, rather than just holding down a button, for the last lap, as everyone does with KERS.

I think it would add more point to attend races

Developers, The people have spoken and its an overwhelming majority for ERS. I hope you use this to change it to ERS. I appreciate its hard to change but I hope you can do it, as it is what the players want

I agree this would be good, as mentioned above it adds a bit of management and strategy to the game which it so desperately needed.

Yeah at the moment, its too predictable. In my league we had a person who joined half way into the season with the worst car, but still won all the races, because he was level 20

In the 20 minutes since my last post the support for ERS has grown even larger

For me I couldn't vote as there's no option for no recharching, only if it's kinetic energy or general. While I'd like the pros of recharging there's the big problem that in reality the amount needed to be used to not spoil any is used by everyone every lap at the most efficient area of the track, so in effect it adds a chore to use xERS every lap for every car (if not it'd risk a gap loosing DRS) and usually loosing the best spot to do an overtake on the track as everyone boosts there too. While the chance still remains to recover the energy used for an overtake or two until the final part of the race it's too much hassle for that while still the managing a finite resource during the race is fully lost.

Well KERS would be non-rechargeable, ERS rechargeable

Where has this KERS brigade come from?

ERS is KERS, it just removes the K (Kinetic) from the rest (Energy Recovery System) I assume your asking for KERS/ERS to be rechargeable in which case I disagree. Rechargeable batterys make it less strategic and more routine, almost like push levels (using pl5 in corners, pl1 in straights etc) You would end up using your supplied amount in the same place each lap.

No it wouldn't be as strong so you can constantly use it, I think it would add a lot of strategy options to the races

make the qualification and make the kers usable in quali ,
and start the race with the remaining percentage
it brings a lot more strategy

Not sure about the percentage. In F1 you use energy, but it is always recharged. That would mean people with lower tech level with suffer massively

What about people who can't get there in time?

Also, using KERS in quali would be useless, you are all bunched up at the start regerdless of how much you use.

My opinion is that I cannot vote on this, considering that both options are, actually, exactly the same.  They are both energy RECOVERY systems, one is just specific to Kenetic energy recovery.

What we actually have in our cars, now is a basic Battery Boost System (BBS), without the ability to use energy recovery to recharge the batteries.  The level of  boost, dictates the battery storage capacity and electric motor tech level.

In my opinion, you should redo the vote to be: -

BBS vs. ERS/KERS

The vote is about changing it to a system similar to F1 where the battery recharges under braking.

What I am saying is that both options given are the same, exactly.  They both involve recharging the battery, where the in game system is just a battery powering electric motors, where there is no recharging system for the batteries.  Ergo the voting options are fundamentally, exactly the same thing...

Right...

ERS and KERS are BOTH  rechargable systems!!!
They are both Energy Recovery Systems, that use waste energy to recharge a battery.  Ergo they are both not used in the game and the real question is: -

Do we want a KERS/ERS system or the current BBS (Battery Boost System) that does not recharge the battery in any way.

That is my point...

The energy system in the game is called KERS, and is not rechargeable. I am asking for ERS like in F1 which recharges under braking. I think you are a bit confused at the moment
