I think we should have ERS instead of KERS. This would mean it is rechargeable. This would mean more strategy options, such as slowing at the end of a straight to regain charge. I think this would create closer more exciting races, rather than just holding down a button, for the last lap, as everyone does with KERS.

I think it would add more point to attend races

My opinion is that I cannot vote on this, considering that both options are, actually, exactly the same.  They are both energy RECOVERY systems, one is just specific to Kenetic energy recovery.

What we actually have in our cars, now is a basic Battery Boost System (BBS), without the ability to use energy recovery to recharge the batteries.  The level of  boost, dictates the battery storage capacity and electric motor tech level.

In my opinion, you should redo the vote to be: -

BBS vs. ERS/KERS

The vote is about changing it to a system similar to F1 where the battery recharges under braking.

What I am saying is that both options given are the same, exactly.  They both involve recharging the battery, where the in game system is just a battery powering electric motors, where there is no recharging system for the batteries.  Ergo the voting options are fundamentally, exactly the same thing...

Well KERS at the moment is not rechargeable, ERS would be rechargeable

Right...

ERS and KERS are BOTH  rechargable systems!!!
They are both Energy Recovery Systems, that use waste energy to recharge a battery.  Ergo they are both not used in the game and the real question is: -

Do we want a KERS/ERS system or the current BBS (Battery Boost System) that does not recharge the battery in any way.

That is my point...

The energy system in the game is called KERS, and is not rechargeable. I am asking for ERS like in F1 which recharges under braking. I think you are a bit confused at the moment

No.  It is called Boost.  Just look in your tech centre.  All the players call it KERS, even me at times.  But it is not that, otherwise what you want is already in the game...

Hello,

The energy system in this game is actually called "boost" - but people call it KERS.

However, iGP uses boost, KERS/ERS are rechargable energy systems which 'recycle' waste energy.

If you wanted another POV, you could describe iGP Manager's speed booster as 'push to pass'.

ERS is KERS, it just removes the K (Kinetic) from the rest (Energy Recovery System) I assume your asking for KERS/ERS to be rechargeable in which case I disagree. Rechargeable batterys make it less strategic and more routine, almost like push levels (using pl5 in corners, pl1 in straights etc) You would end up using your supplied amount in the same place each lap.

make the qualification and make the kers usable in quali ,
and start the race with the remaining percentage
it brings a lot more strategy

What about people who can't get there in time?

Also, using KERS in quali would be useless, you are all bunched up at the start regerdless of how much you use.

normal qualification "Also, using KERS in quali would be useless " in your pov  but this is false / in monaco it can be useful and many other track , if you are not here its your buisness 🤣 there are plenty of ways to integrate the qualifiers into the games , just because you don't like the idea that the idea is bad for the game doesn't mean you don't want to always ask your league host to turn it off

No.

They are exactly the same.  If there is a difference then that is that KERS, uses the unused energy that the Work of moving things does not use and is a specific form of ERS.
A boost system is limited and non rechargable, in race.  Such as the use of non rechargable batteries or a NOS system.

Trust me in the following assertion....

You need to change the vote to make it less confusing.

Trust me in this due to the fact that I am educated to a high level in Engineering!

If you're responding to the previous post, is there really any need to use the quote? This is getting ridiculous, an enormously long quote followed by a single sentence reply.

Timothy is correct, the poll is asking to choose between two rechargeable systems so there is no option to vote for the current system. Almost everywhere in the game the current system is referred to as Boost but some of the managers who have played this game for a long time use the term KERS because IIRC that was what it used to be called in the pre - Aug 2016 version of the game, even though technically this was incorrect as it has never been rechargeable in iGP.

The only place I see mention of KERS is in the "Rules & Regulations"...

RIGHT!!!

The current system IS NOT called KERS!!!

it IS CALLED Boost!!!

This both can and will confuse people.  It does not matter a monkeys, what you say about it, simply because that may be what people call it.  The FACT is that ERS and KERS are EXACTLY THE SAME THING!!!  Boost is what we already have, as Mr. Bissell has already stated.

So, pretty please with sprinkles on...

Change your vote as to capture the meanings within the game.  Not the neanings that the players use.  Devs may not understand what you want...
