I am suggesting a back up mode, so your driver will drive slower when a car is behind, to back up that car building a gap to the car ahead. This would be massive for races, such as finales with the championship going down to the wire, due to the tension. I don't PL1 would be enough as it would just mean less power on the straights and you are making it easier for the car to overtake. I think it should be a separate button so you can push when a car is not near, but back up when a car is close

I'm not sure why you would do this, all I understand is that you can manipulate race results (or ruin someone's race) by clicking a button...

No, all that would do is get you passed in drs by the car your holding up. The drs alone would negate any gap you created in the 1 lap you where able to “back up” It would just ruin your race...

It would try to hold the opponent out of the DRS, and give full power on the straights, so it should be negated

What do you mean "full power"?  I don't also understand what you are trying to talk about? The ideal way to not get overtaken on DRS is to be faster, not ruin your and the opponent's race by going 1 second slower

If you are trying to hold up your opponent so the team-mate can win the championship it would be useful. And in the rain there is no DRS

Push level 1 is also known as block (see Gerards “Tips to make yourself competitive in iGP”) so already does what you are asking for.  Anything more than would likely be unacceptable to the majority of managers.

“Full power” would just be normal driving on straights which is just completely useless against drs above level 5-7 depending on the track in this game. If you go just fast enough to not get overtaken before the drs then the drs the car behind gets that lap will still be enough to close the gap you created. It just gives them a free place 😂
