In the race viewer, where <Gap> and <Lead> currently are, should in my opinion have a 3rd option- delta, whereby it does the maths for you to calculate the delta of each car from the car you have selected (not necessarily always your car) just to help with pit strategy etc or for working out gaps increasing/decreasing to cars not next to you.

Down vote. I'm all for improving game play but not for dumbing down the game.
The data you are asking for is already there, simply do the math as needed.
