So I've just qualified on  mediums however  I had the AS set for inters above 0mll of water and softs if its dry...
But its still slightly damp and nowhere did I have mediums selected

P.S The rest of the AS was on default

Isn't the default AS setting "Use Medium Tyres if it stops raining for 0 laps"?

The fact that the track is damp suggests it was raining but now it has stopped, hence Mediums if you left the second AS as default.

TBH the AS still confuses the heck out of me so if I'm wrong hopefully Gustavo will post and correct me.

I'll quote myself from the Advanced Strategy in a nutshell

Basically, when track is wet and the AS is enabled, the simulator will choose the first AS option tyre if the water level is above Xmm, or the main tyre if the water level is below Xmm. The second AS option tyre is used when there is water in track and it is not raining.

As Kevin said, the strategy applied for qualifying was the second one.

Ok thanks guys, that's what I thought when I thought about it after the race!

However I do feel like this is a bit silly as it says stop raining for 0 LAPS which, to me at least, makes me think about the race and not quali as no laps has taken place before quali...
