Everytime I get ideal setup from the daily rewards it overrides my setup. By this I mean, I will set ride hight and wing level then leave the screen, when I return it's reset to the ideal setup.

How can I use my own set up when ideal reward is active?

Thanks

Why would you want another set up then the ideal one?

because the ideal setup isn't always the fastest.

Yes it is. Practice laps are pretty random but the ideal setup is the fastest.

Not according to section 8 here:
https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/45862

Where the setup is different than the ideal setup for some tracks and it has been faster than the idea setup from testing.

If you don't know the answer to the questions that's fine.

Where exactly are you seeing what you quote in section 8?  Ideal set up is what it’s says the ideal set up.  Many inexperienced managers think they can do better and get fooled by practice times which are impacted by errors, but the ideal set up is what it is, the best set up and fastet for the race.

Oh look at the list of contributors to the guide you are reading and you will see that Antonio is one of them ?

Just an aside to the guide mentioned above. :)
If your driver is not maxed out in the driving ability stats, they may require higher wing levels. In the guide it has been mentioned that ride height changes with driver height, but to clarify- and this will be put into the guide if it is not already (it may just be poor formatting meaning the information is elsewhere):
As the section on driver training mentions, drivers ask for different wing levels dependent on driving ability stats. It is unclear whether or not this is faster or slower for them but it
1) will be at most an extremely marginal impact and
2) If your driver's are not maxed it is unlikely you could compete at the level where it would matter anyways (in the nicest way possible, first account upleveling is tough and we all remember it)

The graphic of setups in section 8 shows 13 wing / 5 ride height for Abu Dhabi:

However, the ideal setup forces it to 13 ride height  / 6 wing for both drivers.

The original question was how does one use the wing setting from the chart rather than the forced ideal setup?

Thanks

This will be because your driver's do not have maxed (or close enough) driving ability so require higher wing levels. When driving ability is maxed you will use the standard table. For now hopefully the updated section 8 of the guide helps other players with this dilemma, thanks for reminding me that there will always be another chapter to write ?.

I see you found what I was referring to. It's not in guide. Thanks, your response above just answered my original question as to why it's forced to a higher wing level:

"If your driver is not maxed out in the driving ability stats, they may require higher wing levels."
...Thank you! :)

Edit: You are most welcome. The guide states:
"So, in an effort to educate iGP's newer players I have written this guide...".

As indeed a newer player, only by asking questions when I notice something like this can we both continue learning as you stated.

Thanks again !
