We have been having no refuelling races in my league and the 1 stop has become absolute beast. Even with so much tyre wear, there is no exponential performance drop.
In today's race, my tyres went to ~10% with lap time not increasing much (i know fuel used makes car lighter) but right now it seems like tyres can be pushed to 0

Indeed, it's unreal that you can perform well on dead tyres like its tyre cliff is inexistent/ineffective. Like, it literally gives 0 incentive to try alternative n+1 stops on the tyres strategies (and I tend in doing so). Also, slow traffic doesn't help* in trying it. 

Will it be any fix to the tyres' cliff anytime soon?

Agreed, you can run SS far too long without a big dip in performance

agree especially in no refuelling leagues, as the fuel comes down it's enough for lap times to stay the same all stint. It pushes almost every circuit to a 1 stop at 50% with no refuelling. It would be better if the 2 stop was the norm as it would enable more strategy variance.

How it should be done, welp there are many options: make punctures happen sooner, make pit times shorter, make the time loss per % wear greater. As long as it's not too buggy it would be worth it.

I think both 50% refuelling and no refuelling would benefit from a change 👍

You should just stop playing 25 or 50! 100% is the best way to play this game

That should not be the solution, not everybody has the time to do 100% races everyday. CBA to spend 50mins doing something that could be done in 25. And anyway what are we going to do if 100% ends up being broken by a future tyre model? stop playing entirely? Of course not. Every game-mode and option should be fun and interesting (especially if they are popular) that's why we are asking for 50% to be fixed, and clearly it's not impossible considering the fact that before 50% used to have far more interesting strategy choice before the current tyre wear model.

I remember days where in a single season, the tracks were so different that we could go from doing S-M, M-M, to doing SS-SS-SS-SS and SS-S-SS. The problem is not 50%, it's the tyre model.

The tyres haven’t changed for a while though it’s the introduction of no refuelling that is the issue. Tyres need to go back to how they were before they were rebalanced last year and no refuelling needs to be deleted.

disagree that refuelling should be removed, it's an interesting concept and allows for a style of racing that refuelling cant replicate. Again this should not be about removing the feature or not playing it, but instead making it good. 


and anyway 50% refuelling has not been as good as it used to be either, both could be improved imo. I just hope the devs and testers make sure to introduce something that works for both rather than something that works for neither 🙏

I have noticed thiz and I have only had 30 races. For example, very close race with my main opponent today. He had medium tires that were 11 laps older at the end when i put my softs on. By the end of the race he had done 22 laps and was only going about 1 second slower per lap.

Just to say, it's not been six years since tyres were last rebalanced.

The "new" game went live in August 2016
Tyres were rebalanced around Sept 2018 (Prior to this Hards were overpowered in 50% races and one stop was the norm)
Tyres were rebalanced December 2021

I don't know what everyone is expecting but because tyre wear is scaled to race distance but pit losses and fuel consumption are not, IMHO it will be almost impossible to increase the number of pit stops in 50% no refuelling races without making 100% "refuelling on" races require an unrealistic number of pit stops.

Well then the solution is simple, scale pit stop times to be half the time, and/or fuel to be twice as heavy. If the tyre model and laps completed can be changed for different distances, and how fast the cars complete a race be changed, I don't see how it would be that much harder to introduce. It would probably be easier than creating an entirely new, working tyre model for 50%.

If you also scale pit loss and fuel consumption along with tyres then every race distance will have the same optimum strategy. There would be no variation or anything new to learn switching from one race length to another.

Personally I like the fact that shorter races require a different approach. As I said above, 50% races were predominantly one stop H-H for two years after the mobile game was released. Then we had the September 2018 tyre rebalance which was received with quite some criticism at certain race distances.

Here are some typical strategies for 50% races since the mobile friendly game was launched in August 2016...

July 2018 (Shortly before the Sept 2018 rebalance):


August 2019:


Jan 2022 (after removal of dirty air]

Sorry let me rephrase, it’s been a 6 years since the tyre balance was rebalanced successfully, I can’t remember when all tyres were all competitive, hopefully Hards will be finally usable 🙏
Tyre balancing is the most requested thing to fix and one of the most important for good strategy instead of SS and S
I totally understand it’s not easy to do but this is the fundamental aspect of the game, you can do it guys once and for all ✌🏽

Raced at Turkey tonight 1 stop mediums after 8 laps 50% wear hards on lighter fuel after 8 laps 50% when set up was 8% mediums 5% hards. This needs sorting as can't work out strategies and people do more laps on softs some times.

Kev I was there for the H H dominance I know how bad it was lol. But look even your own image says it clearly. 2019 had more variation in tyres chosen, these days it's S, M constantly being used. And anyway the main issue is with, as the OP says, 50% no refuelling races, in which every single GP is a 1 stop. I understand variety across the distances is good, but choosing to make 50% distance no refuelling strategies objectively more boring JUST to make it different is not good enough at all. But hey, that's my opinion.


As I said earlier,  I don't really care if it's a new tyre model specifically for the distance, or reduced pit times or whatever; it just needs to be better because it's cruel to have what could be a very interesting style of racing be reduced to the same strat every GP when we know for a fact that iGP is capable of having interesting strategy mixes. All the ingredients are there... use them.
