What does managing a league give you? Can you still race in another league?

Hello,
Managing a league means you have the ability to change its race distance, time, rules, speed, calendar and everything else associated with the league. You can also remove members (please make sure you don't remove people without a reason).

As host, if you leave the league or go inactive for over 14 days, anybody who has been in the league for a set period of time will be able to take over hosting.

You won't be able to race in another league with the same account while hosting the league as you can only be in one league at a time, however if you create another account with a different email, you can race both accounts in separate leagues.

Hosting a league brings no benefits in terms of finances or improving the competitiveness of your team so I would urge you not to create another league, we have enough leagues already.

If you do create another league, you will very quickly discover how hard it is to keep it populated because currently there is a huge imbalance between the number of leagues and the number of players. A league with a small number of inactive teams (which is almost inevitably what you'll end up with) is unlikely to attract other players as there is no enjoyment to race there.

I was playing the game for more than 5 years before creating a league and despite me regularly advertising on the forum I find it almost impossible to keep it well populated:
The Rookie tier has maybe two active accounts, the rest are either bots to fill out the tier so that it is recommended to new players or inactive accounts belonging to people who download the game, race once (if I'm lucky) then are never seen again. The Pro tier has 2 active accounts.
The Elite tier is the most active but as I post this I notice that a team has left today leaving only 11 of 16 teams.

This is despite regular advertising and having a Discord server linked to the league.

Why don’t you make it that new leagues can only be started after a certain number of seasons, say 5 or more, that might stop people starting them on a whim.

Because I'm only a Mod, not a member of staff. The staff will take the game in whatever direction they believe will make it more enjoyable and bring in enough revenue to pay the bills.

Jack said a long time ago that he was intending to revue the league structure, although with what's going on in Eastern Europe and the impact it has had on Developers I'm not holding my breath. Nothing about league structure is mentioned in Blog - The New Road Ahead

Lvl 18-20 unless handed the league by the outgoing host. Otherwise what would be more ideal is that you can simply put your own team (cloned) into any 'x' amount of league's or any league that has a vacancy instead of having empty leagues or leagues filled with alt accounts. Use alt accounts for 1 off series or simply to build a new team.
