I have tried changing my photo, it didn't work is there a size limit?
First image I tried was 459KB PNG, second was 244KB JPG 800x600, third was 244KB JPG 720x960
For some reason, my profile picture is the same one I use on Facebook (I didn't use a profile picture on the previous version of IGP Manager), and every time I try to change it, nothing happens. No error messages with any specifics, just... nothing happens. By the way, I don't sign in with my Facebook account.
It's possible your account may be linked to your Facebook profile. Can you check what Facebook apps have permission/privileges on your Facebook account? Remove the Igpmanager one if you see it, then try to change/upload a new profile picture
I was optimising the profile photos last night as I believe this was a reason viewers were crashing on the "best" setting or running out of memory. It turns out in some cases full size profile photos were being loaded in, and this would be a huge resource hog on small machines without graphics cards. I've made sure only scaled images are used now, which should massively reduce the resources needed for the "best" viewer setting in some cases (it would be totally league dependent).
In the process of making this optimisation a couple of quirks happened on the forum and elsewhere but I've just patched those up now.
any chance of making it size limited for ex. 200x200 with accepted extensions no more than 1mb in size or something like that? a 3000x1400 image would be silly at 50mb :P.
There is a file upload size, it's a couple of megabytes if I recall correctly.
Our server already resizes all the images before uploading them. The problem wasn't that, it was the file name being used meant profile pictures from the old game weren't scaled. I've now combined the resized files from the old game with those from the new game. This should improve load times around the site and greatly improve the viewer performance for some impacted by it trying to load in full-size profile pictures.
