The best vs the best league

This is pretty much my idea, although it isn't even mine. I think it would be a fun idea, but a few things have to be changed of course. The reason I brought this up is because the league at that time died after half a season if I remember correctly. If you guys think it would be fun to do again then I'll try to organize it.

Another version of this idea is 3 drivers from the 5 strongest leagues in 1 league.

A few things I already want to make clear though.
- I would like only guys of the top 50 in the HoF. People between 50 and 100 in the HoF would still have a chance, but I would look at your stats.
- The duration of the races are likely to be 50%
- The design idea will be changed. Everyone has to have a 4 or 4,5 star CD most likely.
- It probably wouldn't be 1 race a week
- It would be a 2 drivers league

PS: I still have to find a solution for the penalty you get when you leave a league, but I'm sure we will be able to find one.

This looks like a great idea but there are a few problems :
- the time (everyone races at a different one)
- number or races per week also is different
- the bond they created racing with the same people

Thus I think that wouldn't completely work and a lot of managers would not change their habits for a new league, for example I was really attached to the leagues I raced in and I hardly never switched, Marcel, Alain, Tjerk and a few others did the same.

But I have a similar idea and I think you can talk about it with Jack to create something above the current league system, maybe some kind of "igp champions league" event. Imagine a competition every 3 months of 4/5 races (1 per week) with 16 of the best managers in a selection of the top50 HOF (they will have to agree or disagree their participation) but they'll stay in their respective leagues. They will have the same Staff/HQ to give them equal chances during the event, also maybe that would be the opportunity for igp to create some kind of "live qualifying session" for this event or to test new features for the future.

I very much like the idea. Possibly leverage the planned "casual" races Jack has mentioned.

As Joey has said, I don't think you will get anyone to leave their leagues for all the reasons he has mentioned, race time, length and just liking to race they people you know.

One wee thing you have overlooked.
The best of the best would no longer be the best of the best if they all joined the same league, they would stop always winning and then drop out of the top 50

That's pretty neat. I'm jelly I'm still quite a ways from the top 50 HOF :)
