I bid 1 token in the initial round for this CD with 1 second to spare. A minute later when I checked the CD whom was also shortlisted, was available to buy for 3 tokens. How can this be when I bid 1 token for him in the initial round and was the last manager who bid? If someone gazumped me then why would the auction have ended and he was available to buy outright for 3 tokens?

Then I check back and he's listed again just 10 minutes after this fiasco and this time he's only got 35 mins left with no bids. Now, how can he be relisted back on to the transfer market with just a starting time of 35 mins? So now someone has purchased him and my account is showing a deduction of 1 token.

Please can I be credited back the token (I know it's only 1 token but still) and perhaps some kind of explanation how this magical CD managed to do all of this in a short space of time.

Auctions are a live stream of information, meaning if there's any delays in the networks between you and the game server, then what you see on your end isn't what is happening on the game's end (higher latency times means worse network performance). One second to spare could have actually been half a second to spare by the time you saw the timer and even less than that by the time you react to pressing it.

So can you explain to me how it deducted 1 token from my account (that means that my bid was registered) and then 10 minutes later he is available for me to sign for just 3 tokens? suddenly he is back on the transfer market with just 35 mins left and then someone ends up buying him?

If it was a time delay like what you said then either a) my initial bid should not have been registered and b) If my bid was registered then how on earth did he end up not being sold to anyone and I had the option to buy him outright for 3 tokens?

To recap....

1) If it was a latency issue as you suggest then why if there were 3 bids placed in the initial round (1 from each team inc mine) and my token was deducted, this means my bid was registered in time and if it was not registered in time then why was my token taken?

2) If it was a latency issue then please can you explain why the CD ended up not being signed by any team and immediately was available to buy outright for 3 tokens? He was no longer in the transfer market but was available for 3 tokens to buy. This happened within 1 minute of the auction ending and the failure of him to sign for anyone including me who had 1 token deducted remember.

Man, I flew through my response on that one. I forgot to mention I was theorizing that in the very slim amount of time that remained, just on the luck of the draw, the auction probably ran out of time and the game received your request to enter a bid at the exact same time and probably didn't know what to do.

I have put in a request to have your token returned though. It was on the account you are posting with, correct?

I don't have the ability to give out tokens but right now comment how many you have had to spend in the thread regarding the bug (https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread_3/8300).

Thanks for requesting the refund of the 1 token (yes it's this account) but this is definitely a bug and not to do with Latency. Reason being was that 3 teams including me had bid for him in the initial round and yet nobody won him! He was then available to buy for 3 tokens and then ended up straight back on the transfer market with a countdown of 35 mins and then the person who has him now signed hm outright for 9 tokens. Just something that needs looking in to.

Hi Ali, I've sent you two tokens, 1 to recover the lost token and the second to cover the cost of any signing fees you may have possibly incurred.
