Hi, I just wanted to make you aware of the fact that the in game camera doesn't work, when ever I load up a live race, the camera leaves me in a random place half stuck in the ground. Maybe look into it? It's making it impossible to enjoy any racing.

We suspect this is caused by cached addressables (cached track data from an incompatible app version, corrupting the viewer loading).

There are two options that potentially can get it working if this happens:

  1. Completely delete the app data (in Android this is usually under app info > Storage > Clear data)

  2. If the above fails: Uninstall then install the application again.

Hi Jack!

In the game launcher nothing happens, when i click on the update button.

Can you please provide a link for new installation of the game launcher?

Thx

It feels like people’s arm is being twisted once again here to make you pay hard cash. It’s the never ending story… I can imagine a game like this cannot continue being “for free” but I’ve already payed more than my share of hard cash. The new update is twisting the arm even harder. It makes my decision a lot easier: at the end of the current season you guys will receive a request to delete my account. After 4-5 years of being a loyal player… quite unfair how people are being treated around here.

No reply here Jack? Or is it an uncomfortable truth?

As one of the top 5 managers in Germany and league leader of Racing Deluxe, I am very disappointed with this pay-to-win update. I am being stripped of my league rights and the ability to change settings, only to be able to get them back by paying real money to boost the league… On top of that, there are all the bugs in the game. My community, which I have rebuilt into a full league, is extremely disappointed and most of them now want to quit. I am personally so angry about this, as all my efforts over nearly two years—taking the league from almost inactive players to now—have been wasted. I understand the developers’ good intentions to modernize the game, but chasing this pay-to-win hype displeases everyone. IGP had long been spared from this, which is why there was such a loyal community—one that is now being driven away.

First of all, I want to acknowledge the work you’ve put into Racing Deluxe. Taking a league from near inactivity to a full, competitive community over two years is not nothing, and I completely understand why this feels personal. The frustration around bugs on top of a major systems change is also fair, and stabilising those issues is a priority.

On the “pay-to-win” point specifically, I think there may be some crossed wires, possibly even down to language. Nothing about the new system allows someone to buy on-track performance, faster cars, or guaranteed results. Racing daily versus not racing daily, or changing league rules, does not in itself create an advantage over other managers within that league. In this update, we've significantly closed the performance gap between all levels, reducing the impacts of any paying mechanics that give performance advantages significantly. E.g. everyone uses the same 1-100% level scale now. We've also been able to make some cosmetic items free in exchange, like changing team colours and logos, which used to cost Tokens.

The shift here is from an unsustainable model to one that can actually support the level of customisation the community has asked for over the years. Previously, every extra option, rule, or exception was effectively being subsidised by us. Small, tightly run leagues were understandably happy, but the cost of supporting that level of flexibility was being absorbed entirely on our side, in the form of a fragmented, disjointed and ultimately disconnected community.

This change is not about chasing trends or hype. It’s about making sure iGP can exist long term, continue to be developed, and still offer deep gameplay, focusing on what you want to see added. I know that doesn’t remove the sting right now, and I don’t expect this explanation to instantly make everything feel fine. But I do want you to know that this wasn’t done lightly, and it certainly wasn’t done without considering league leaders like you. That's why we opted for the "boost" model to lighten the burden as much as possible on league hosts.

We're going to be focusing all our energies on adding more league hosting options to give you the tools you need, and we can justify doing that now. It's a symbiotic relationship, where the more value we add, the more value we receive, instead of the more value we add, the more the community evaporates into fragmented tiny pockets.

Your feedback is heard, and the current backlash is part of what will shape the refinements that come next. The foundation has changed, but the goal remains the same: a game where committed managers and strong communities still matter.

A Unified Ecosystem
iGP Manager 26 unifies all managers into one league structure. Instead of separate Rookie/Pro/Elite divisions and separate languages, everyone races in the same ecosystem and is grouped by skill (XP Level first, Reputation/RXP second) to create fair, competitive grids. The old tier divisions are gone; what matters now is how well you race and develop your team.

Tiers as Access
Tiers now unlock features rather than deciding where you can race: Rookie (Tier 1): Default tier, access to iGP Leagues after 3 tutorial sprint races. Pro (Tier 2): Can join player-hosted leagues. Elite (Tier 3): Can create and host leagues. VIP (Tier 4 - New Subscription): A recurring subscription to automatically unlock all features of other tiers, plus: Race in up to 3 leagues at once. Earn sponsor tokens per league race (no daily limit). Create VIP-only leagues and set minimum tier requirements on a league. AI driver chat and 1 free league boost per month.

Your tier is now effectively your “lanyard” in the paddock, while league matchmaking is purely skill-based. The exception being hosted leagues, where managers can join.

iGP Leagues & Hosted Leagues

iGP Leagues

  • Auto-generated, ranked leagues using skill-based matchmaking

  • Instant join when you select a time slot

  • Synchronized, bi-monthly global seasons (1st & 15th) with ~15 races

Hosted Leagues

  • Player-created, persistent communities

  • Use the same synchronized cycles by default, or go custom with boosts

  • Pro can join, Elite can host

  • Hosts can opt-in to the auto-assignment system if they stay on the default schedule cycle or go closed/private if they have custom season lengths

League Boosts: Community-Powered Premium Features
League Boosts are a new IAP resource that work very much like Discord server boosts: anyone can boost any league from their own inventory to unlock extra features for that league.

Key points

  • Boosts sit in your manager inventory until you allocate them

  • 1 boost = 1 season of support for a league

  • You don’t need to be a member of a league to boost it

  • VIP subscribers get 1 free boost per month

Calendars & Global Cycles
All ranked leagues are synchronized to bi-monthly global cycles (1st and 15th of each month). This:

  • Keeps seasons around ~15 races with daily events

  • Aligns the whole community for future global events

  • Simplifies migration and matchmaking

Boosted leagues with 20+ boosts can optionally switch to custom season lengths and track lists. Those become unranked by design, focusing on community fun and flexibility instead of RXP progression.

1-Car vs 2-Car Leagues: Economy Balancing
To keep operating costs fair across different league formats, iGP Manager 26 adds economy modifiers:

  • 1-car leagues: standard wages, higher repair parts costs (2.0×)

  • 2-car leagues: reduced wages, reduced repair parts costs

These modifiers are shown in the GUI and applied when you sign contracts and repair cars, and are explained in the league info, contract dialogs and repair tooltips. The end result is that both league types offer similar overall running costs, so you can choose based on preference, and 2-car leagues become equally appealing again.

Migration: What Happens to Existing Leagues?
All existing leagues are preserved and moved into the new structure:

  • Hosted leagues keep their ID, host, members and standings

  • Tiers are merged into single unified tier at the end of the current season or split into a second league, depending on the total managers

  • Legacy tiers (rookie, pro, elite) are cleared once the league is migrated

No communities are deleted, and no history is lost. The migration simply reshapes the structure to match the new unified model.

Translation for multilingual leagues
As mentioned above, there are no language restrictions on the new iGP Leagues. In the event that someone is commenting in another language in the league, there is a built-in translate function on their comments on the league wall, like the translate buttons seen on most social media sites. Equally, they can translate your replies.

Joining & Multi-League Play
When you choose a league time slot, iGP Manager 26 immediately:

  • Searches for an existing suitable league based on your RXP and level

  • Places you there instantly if a good match exists

  • Or creates a new iGP league for that slot and drops you straight in

VIP managers can belong to up to three leagues at once, as long as schedules don’t clash. This opens up more racing and more ways to earn rewards, balanced by increased operational costs (contracts, parts, fuel) across those leagues.

Why This Feels Different In-Game

  • You race in a single, global system instead of isolated tier pools

  • Tiers are about what you can do, not who you race against

  • League boosts give communities shared control over premium features and will expand beyond the customisation currently supported while helping to sustain development

  • Calendars are synchronized by default, making it easy for us to build community-wide seasons and events

  • Migration keeps your league identity and history intact while modernizing the structure

We also expect to release a long-awaited community-wide event system in 2026 and to announce several partnerships along the way. This restructuring is a major step in that direction. The new league system is designed to keep grids healthy, competition fair and communities empowered, while giving us a strong foundation for future global events and features.

The search button doesn’t work if your try to search for a league. I just want a league with 6:00am SAST preferably 1 car bit don’t mind 2.. please anyone anything something please

Same problem in my league, would be convenient to have this boosts for the next season due to the troubled nature of this update. Putting our boosts in the league with the game at this state feels like a big leap of faith.

The game is totally unplayable. Constant connection issues, lagging and the car in 16th was actually running in first place. After 10 minutes it was still on lap 1 and that's after re logging in. They've ruined the playability of the game by doing things they aren't capable of hosting. How long will this take to fix?

Hi Jack,

Sorry but i had to write this. I started playing igp around 6 years ago as during covid i was very often home alone and the community and the game helped me very much during these times and even friendships have been built. I raced over 2000 races and enjoyed every single one of them due of the fact that i had it in my own hands to manage my driver, my tires, my fuel, my race and i was happy when the 3d came as for me it made it more interesting to race and yes i missed some kind of w2w racing and also ghosting was unreal but what i saw now in the last 2 days in playing sprint races and today the first league race must say that i am very very much disappointed by this update. The racing feels totally fake, we had 3 cars during 1 lap side to side or both of my cars drove lap after lap next to eachother, slowing down in turns like if they would stop and not being able to drive straight on a straight line. I mean yes changes had to come but why taking away what i and i think a lot of others managers think, was the essential of this game. Managing your car in the race. On top of that you ask us as a league to pay for something we had for free before. Free rules for our league and we could set our own rules and built up a community with good laughs and great exchanges about the game. Why not the opposite, those who want to join the new system need to subscribe and pay to play and we keep what we had, wouldn’t that be more fair to your loyal community here since years? No bad words just my honest thoughts. Cheers, Patrick

This game had absolutely no reason to go 3D. Zero.

They should’ve just improved the 2D gameplay, added new features, fixed bugs — the basics. Instead, we get 3D… for what exactly? If I can’t control the throttle, steering, and braking myself, then what’s the point of 3D? And on top of that, they’re trying to turn a management game into some kind of simulation, which makes no sense at all.

Every update feels like one step forward and three steps straight backwards. Who asked for this? Who thought this was a good idea? Because it definitely wasn’t the players.

I get what you’re saying, but that’s exactly the problem — there are already plenty of F1 management games with 3D races. The whole reason iGP stood out was because it was different. It had its own style, its own identity, and a community that kept growing precisely because it didn’t try to copy everyone else.

So why force it down the same path as every other game? Instead of doubling down on what made it unique and improving that, they’re pushing it toward a direction that nobody really asked for.

What’s next — safety cars, crashes, full simulation features? For what purpose? If the game is supposed to be a manager, then focus on making the management side deeper, smarter, and more strategic. That’s what made people stay. That’s what made the game grow.

Trying to turn it into a half‑simulation just makes it lose the identity it already had.

I agree, the game-play should be relatively simple...and the complexities come in the strategies, design, and overall management of a season.

At this point, it's taking a game and trying to form it into something that it really isn't at it's core. In theory, it'd probably be easier to create a whole new game with different goals.

iGP 2026 turned out amazing. 1s race just minutes ago. Wheel-to-wheel racing was incredible.

Fuel consumption has increased with the 2026 version. I was using the same FE DP from last season, on the same circuit, and I took the chance to keep the same push level.
Hmm, actually, consumption is higher in the rain. When it stopped raining and I switched to soft tires, fuel usage went down. This feels more realistic since the car has more drag in wet conditions. Consumption also went up with tire overheating. (Can anyone else confirm this?)

I saw 2 overtakes that were 1/2 ghost on the DRS straight.

Intermediate tires heat up even below 50% (though with 0.2/0.1 mm tread), only losing performance below 40%.

There’s also ghosting during pit stops.

Well done. Now, we need to be patient and wait for them to do the fine-tuning. 🤖

How is higher fuel consumption in the wet more realistic?

IRL, the cars have less grip and are therefore significantly slower. The drivers apply the throttle more sparingly, they brake earlier, corner more slowly, accelerate out of the corners much more carefully. All this results in lower fuel consumption in the wet.

mmm generally fuel usage in the wet is lower than in the dry, there is more passive throttle input and lower top speed. It takes longer to get traction, having to wait to get on the power and having to lift off to catch a slide or snap.

I know that IRL. But I wasn't talking about real life, only my experience in the new iGP 26.
And if you read carefully, I also wrote that I maintained the push level.

I've been a player of this game for several years now, and I have to say once again that this update has destroyed what once made the game special. And to all you know-it-alls... it doesn't matter what your current ranking is. If you voice criticism here and then try to distract from the core message with trivialities, that's a different matter and only shows that there are people who simply don't care much about respect and appreciation. So, back to the update and a note to everyone involved in the development and strategic decisions: you've made another serious mistake. Many of my fellow players, myself included, would be quite willing to pay for good work and good development. Unfortunately, you're far from that. It's incomprehensible to most players how you could release something so flawed. And if you need or want to earn more money, just say so. What you're revealing here through the back door is pretty obvious. Anyone who has known the game for a while will notice this immediately and feel mocked by your communication.
Every normal person in this world knows that nothing is free. Especially not in the entertainment sector. Try being more transparent in the future. And a request from most experienced players: spend a bit more of the money you earn on testing or take more time. Releasing something like this has once again destroyed a lot of trust in your work. What you've developed with the league administrators' rights is, in my opinion, an outrage to all those who work to keep the fun and excitement going and prevent things from getting boring. It's an exceptionally clever system to exploit the league administrators to generate more revenue. You've really outdone yourselves. Please consider changing this. The league administrators are your supporters! I wish you much success in fixing all the bugs, and many haven't yet decided whether to continue playing or whether some will now leave. I'm one of them. Good luck! 🙏

Hello, I’ve been playing iGP on and off since 2015, and I can’t help but say something here.

iGPManager 2026 may be the worst update I’ve ever seen from a videogame.

Since 2015, iGP has barely changed. The same race UI, the same race setup screen, the overall feel of the game is exactly the same as it was in 2015. The only prominent updates I’ve noticed as an old timer part timer is that you can customize your drivers more, maybe 5-10 new liveries, you can sell customer engines and there have been some graphics modernization.

I haven’t played consistently through the years, it’s been come and go because of the level cap system basically making it impossible to enjoyably play in competitive leagues… so naturally, I was quite excited for this new update.

Until it came.

Leagues have now been completely ruined, 10 race, un configurable seasons unless you pay £5.99 per season, and many other features that have been free for over 10 years now locked behind a paywall. This is not going to be an effective strategy, and will guaranteed drive players away from the game.

Fantasy sports games thrive on creativity and personalization, which is an area that was not expanded upon at all in this update. People love customizing cars, drivers, staff, and their teams… not losing features they have had for free for a decade. If you want people to pay for something, there needs to be an unchecked desire. Taking away these basic abilities does not make people want to suddenly spend money to get them, it’s a slap in the face to your community.

Not to mention, wheel to wheel racing is a complete flop. Cars slowing down 2-3x more than they used to just because they can’t pathfind in this new wheel to wheel format. Nobody wants to see cars slow down to take it 3 wide into a hairpin… it can’t be so static as if every corner is an overtaking opportunity. It’s actually less satisfying to watch than the ghost cars. I appreciate the effort, but I don’t understand how this was something that was confidently published as a complete update. The new sprint races are basically the same but with a potentially 9 minute longer queue time.

I paid £5.99 for a level 15 max driver a few weeks back, and figured this was a reasonable investment that would help me succeed and level up faster. This is the last time I will pay any money to this game. I have enjoyed iGP for over a decade for free, and I refuse to pay money for essentially a downgraded version of the same game I’ve always played.

Figure out a different strategy to make money. This is not it.

For anyone with concerns about the league changes, I’ve posted a dedicated thread that lays out the reasoning, direction, and next steps in full:
https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/63496

I’m going to close this thread now and continue the discussion there so it can stay focused and constructive.

If you’re interested in the detail, the full context is in the linked thread. That’s where I’ll be reading and responding going forward.
