Jack
The problem we were expecting everyone to report was that speed, braking and acceleration were not accurate. This is an issue we are aware of, and probably explains a lot of the reports that are being made. Until the next app update that will be the case. It's actually a visual issue with the viewer, and what you are seeing is not what is occurring in the simulation. E.g. I suspect when people are saying things like KERS is actually causing the cars to slow down, this may not be the case. It may visually indicate that on the car due to the aforementioned bug, but the lap time will be the real litmus test.

Unfortunately the update that addresses this is hitting a few snags in passing the QA process. We had hoped to release it as early as Monday, but it's stuck in testing. It looks like we are ironing out the last few issues with it now, and it may be ready as early as tomorrow night.

The "Azerbaijan" issue seems to have been a symptom of out-of-date translation files on the server, and they have been updated now. We will keep an eye out for any repetition of that showing up just in case.

Out of date translation files? For me that sounds as a joke. My guess you working on more tracks and someone made a mistake in naming file.

Hi Jan, we make no secret about it, we are working on more tracks, and will be bringing more throughout 2019. I guess you got a little clue to one. :)

The issue was genuinely a cached translation file on a server though, the one containing the circuit names had been cached from before GB19 was added to the list of names. Simply clearing the cache updated it, as the correct file was already there, but had not been cached.

Hi Jack!

Sounds like you guys often get stuck trying to debug your system. Have you ever read the rook "Debugging" by David J. Agans? It's a short and humorous book on what he summarized to be the 9 golden rules of debugging. I recommend this book to you and your team of developers. For example, it has a subsection on intermittent bugs, which might be of interest to you. It only costs like less than 20 USD, and it doesn't take long to read. I'm reading it for a college class I'm taking, and it makes a lot of sense!

ok im back.  do you guys beta test?  its a lot better.. but

  • DRS does not work. the logo pops up but you dont get faster.

  • kers is questionable again...it feels half as effective as normal.

  • i am not sure the tyres have been configured correctly... as was an issue previously.  as in the difference of speeds between them is strange.  mediums quicker than SS on 8/9 degrees cloudy???

  • the graphics visually chug a little too.

and mobile users saying they couldn’t swap drivers. i could, on my iphone [this appears to be on all tracks from what i have read]

i do think think it is good enough to race on.
