thats seems quite the heavy handed approach and would require hosts who actively regulate/keep up with the managers in the league

Well. what kind of Host are you if you don't manage your leagues as well as your team. A host should have to do more than just set up a league and then go take a nap. If someone invited you to their house and when you got there they said "do whatever you want I'm going to a movie" they wouldn't be much of a host would they?

lol - but I agree with you Jay.
I think a league host has to have, and take, more responsibility.  It is far too easy to set up a league and then do nothing.  I know this was important in the early developement of the game but it isn't so vital now, as there are heaps of leagues to join.
