Hi dear developers, my opinion on the update. Positive: graphics, more information on the mobile display (perhaps a little chaotic)posibility of using the boost for both machines is also good although I have not tried it yet. negative:
the management of the yellow flag! It is absurd that if you happen to be in a championship where many are offline, running out of petrol will ruin the race! Someone could use it as a tactic on the last lap! It can happen accidentally, but it is always a problem. This aspect is not very realistic! For the safety car I cannot make judgments because I have not tried it; I've always liked the idea of a possible accident or random breakdown that could make the SC upset the race. In my opinion, the game needs non-random and manual qualifications, for example in addition to free practice, to do laps for qualifying manually by managing fuel load and a percentage of boost to use that is then missing for the race. blue flag for the voiced ... if it is offline the AI automatically slows it down, if instead it is online the obligation of minimum push (under penalty of disqualification or penalty) and blocking of the kers. but first of all you have to solve the yellow flag problem .... you risk a mass uninstallation !!!!
Hi, I'm not here to criticize but only to express my simple and useless opinion.
In competitive leagues, there are often boring races with endless queues for laps and laps, often the races are decided by qualifying, a fairly random element of the game. Sometimes someone manages to get the better with particular strategies that manage to free him from that infinite queue. The update therefore foresees to punish those few managers who make a magnificent race, putting random events that would bring him back in the queue? Also disabling DRS and boost for a few seconds, disabling overtaking and making the race actually a rainy race? Who loves rain races in this game? I think only those who start first, randomness rewards.
I am of the opinion that random events should be avoided so as not to spoil the gaming experience and whip the player, but instead it is what you thought you would do.
The story of "in the world of real f1 works like this" is not a convincing excuse in my opinion, especially to give victory to those who perhaps did not deserve it.
You could have spent that time fixing the qualifications, an already frustrating element of the game, giving more efficiency to the driver's mental and physical statistics or to the car statistics, and instead I see an update that increases the randomness of the game. Honestly, I have been playing for almost three years, but I was extremely disappointed with this update, but I hope you don't take offense for my pointless opinion.
I hope people don't give up in frustration...
I take advantage of the attention to ask instead for a fix for the filters of the league search ?.
Can anyone confirm that a dubbed car cannot be overcome with the yellow flag? If this were true, I would like to know which of you had this magnificent idea ... I wonder if you have ever played in a serious championship or only played in test championships. I hope you will fix the damage you have done as soon as possible otherwise you will lose many strong managers. Thanks for your attention and sorry for the very direct concept but I consider this an extremely serious thing.

I think I can confirm, if I'm not mistaken my car didn't pass a lapped one under yellow flag even if I had DRS open. It simply approached it very fast before suddenly breaking
I am not sure what to think of this update...
The idea is interesting, to spice some races, but adds a lot of randomness.
I did 2 races since the update. I attended the first one only.
I did not understand quickly that the green square above the timing was the flag.
Then, since I was focused on the race, I noticed a yellow flag only because DRS did not activate.
So UI not very clear and UX not perfect because it can go unnoticed easily.
The race ended wich VSC for the last 2 laps.
Then the second race.
Looking at the recap, there were 12, TWELVE, yellow flags and 2 VSC for the last 2 laps...
So it seems that the race can be impacted quite easily.
Also, flags should impact a specific sector. It seems to slow down tho whole race, like a VSC, but I'm not sure of that.
If the main problem with the safety car is cars retiring late in the race in a way which influences the ending, why not have the cars retire at different points based on their level of part and engine wear. The more worn out, the earlier they retire.
Hi all. After the last update, I’ve noticed how the pit lane of the various circuits are much slower than before. This, unfortunately, severely worsens the gaming experience by flattening the possibility of alternative strategies in 50% races or forcing identical strategies in greater lengths. This, together with the increase of the random given by the yellow flags, adds to the already known problems related to the qualifications, the random starts and the pit too conditioned by precedence (absurd in a game like this). It is increasingly becoming a game of luck instead of being a game of strategy, development and race reading

The better solution for this update is to not let inactive player take part to the race. There should be the rule that if you are inactive for more than 3/4 consecutive races you can't start next ones unless you log in and do the manual setup.
Doing like this there would be less inactive cars, with all M strategy, that are extremely useless. They are lapped after 3 laps and they only cause yellow flags for fuel issues and for mechanical failures ruining the racing experience of active players.
I had two races with random yellow flags for fuel and in total 5 VSC for mechanical failures caused by the same inactive cars.
This update would have been funny the first of April as a joke, we would have had a laugh and the next day we returned to normal. Instead it was decided to make every race a joke...
I'd like to know why, just why? ... without that stupid motivation "in real f1 it works like this".
An update of this type makes me understand that the developers have never played seriously or in a competitive championship.
Sorry but I'm really disappointed.
EDIT:
I just finished another race, a driver was completely destroyed by the yellow flags, no boost, no drs ... just embarrassing, this is an INSTIAGATION to violence and stress,my race was ruined...
Remove this mess PLEASE or you could put a button to disable for the administrator.
Guys I totally agree with the comments above: the yellow flags are simply increasing the random factor even more, for totally nonsense events like running out of fuel in the pit lane. PLEASE make this feature optional at least, like the choice of the schedule, so every league can decide if keep it active or not - that should make everyone happy.
In my opinion the best way would be to decrease the random effect to reward the best. Here you do the exact opposite, this game is becoming lonely and exclusively random. Not even the use of kers makes a difference anymore, since it takes an absent manager who runs out of gas to screw everything up.
Please consider adding a championship option to disable the yellow flag and safety car.
In my Italian league there are over 50 active players and we don't want it.
Indeed we believe that it is destroying the championship.
Maybe in the future we will rehabilitate this works but now it is unplayable, especially in the 2X championships where everything happens quickly.
I agree with Giovanni Rizzo and others who have the same line of thought, and are usually all players with a high level of reputation.

I have run now a total of 4 races now with the new update, and my initial thoughts are that the Yellow Flags appear too often (in my opinion)...looks to be occurring in c. 20% of all laps raced, which at that current percentage, causes frustration, especially when you have used KERS to set up a move. 1 or 2 Yellow Flags in a race could work, in my opinion.
Yellow Flags should also never appear for an event, which can be player induced (ie running out of fuel, not repairing the car to the point where it retires from the race) where it can be purposely used to effect the outcome of the race.
And in my opinion, the last 3 laps of any distance race, should never have any flags. We want to have the race decided on the track, by who saved up the most KERS, who has the freshest tyres, and utilising other cars in the final few laps.
Here is the race stream from just today, highlighting a yellow flag in the closing stages of the race, depriving what would have been a thrilling finish, but for a Yellow Flag cos someone ran out of fuel.
I have been monitoring the situation regarding peoples feedback, as with anything different the opinion is always split. It is the nature of the industry.
However, I have been making some changes on the simulator to stop flags happening when cars are in the pit lane or close to it because of lack of fuel. As with stopping the yellow flag altogether I don't think that is the right move.
It is still young and i'm gathering data about length and how often flags are happening. Reviewing it as and when is needed.
These changes have been applied now as of races that started an hour ago. I have reviewed the races which are completing now, the yellow flag is appearing a lot less now, but I fear it is not often enough now. But I will continue to monitor the situation as we all are.
Please also remember this is not going to be the end of things related to flags. We are looking to build on this over the next few months and years.
the question with regards to the display of SC in the infographic after the race. after the race they now show on which circle the yellow flag was. But the question is, is the output of the SC displayed somehow? Or is it also marked only with a yellow flag?
a bit about translation difficulties. what does "DBL yellow" mean? What is the difference from just a yellow flag?
It means Double Yellow.
"Single stationary yellow flag means overtaking prohibited due to danger near the track. Single waved yellow flag means overtaking prohibited due to danger on the track. Double waved yellow flag means overtaking prohibited due to blocked track. At both flags, a speed reduction is required as well." - From F1 WIki. I don't know if the devs have implemented this exact meaning of the flags but it should be close.
