i agree with SATANA.

the game has become so dumbed down its killing it.

its a racing mangement game it should be tough, there should be lots of options and things that takes time to understand and learn how to get the best of, sadly you log in, set up in about 10 seconds then log out.

set ups per track no matter the weather are the same race after race after race.
qually is pointless
QR. really why?
the promotion relegation system is terrible.

there are many things on this game that make no difference to playing, cooling, reliability and so on you all know what i'm saying, lol

i understand its not easy, and things cost money but its slowly getting worse year after year.

every game has its time, maybe this one has?

Hello,
The subject of this thread is Qualifying and Pitstops. Some of the posts have been moving away from this topic and I am asking if you can please move back onto the Pitstops and qualifying topic, or I may be forced to delete some of the posts from this thread.

Thank you.

EDIT: The off-topic posts have been removed.

I agree with many things that has been said above, but my attitude towards this problem is slightly different.
I understood why hards were severely downgraded as they had been greatly overpowered which resulted in hards only strategy (or start on ss and all other stints on hards) be the only one possible. That looked absolutely silly and made me lose almost all of my motivation to play the game just before the "notorious" tyre updated was released.
Maybe reducing the gap in perfomance and tyre wear between tyre types could have made it better, but I suppose the devs calculated different scenarios and somehow came up with that particular one.
Yes, maybe it is a bit "mainstream", but why not after all? The more players play this game, the better, or I do get it wrong?
I don't know what's happening in other parts of the game community, but the russian speaking one has been slowly dying out, new players just get demotivated as they can't compete with the old dogs.
So that's why I think these "random" events, where players could get a real chance to win or at least get more points than they have used to get, is good, really good if we want the game community to grow.
But on the other hand it would be good for old players to give us some kind of a compensation, where more random events is combined with giving us more means of control over other aspects of gameplay like manual qualification, blue flags or clear understanding of what pitstops depend on (maybe make it depend on certain staff traits).
That's an ideal setup, where everyone would be happy in my point of view.

Manual qualifying round is the key. It would solve all the main and bigger problems, in my opinion. Giving a manager the possibility to create his own destiny but still keeping a few random things in the game. At least, with manual quali round, one gets to know he couldn't have done any better than that and would run the live race with a different mood and another spirit.

Devs should really make it happen, somehow. It would really make the game a better game.

And then, they should also solve other smaller (still big) problems listed above and in other topics around the forums. But manual quali round needs to happen, it really needs. Somehow.

- why the tallest drivers are achieving better qualifying results?

About the driver height.
I have now high hopes having a driver 185cm.
Then again. I do not think it reflects the real life situation:
Nico Rosberg in his car:
600x400

Me in the exact same car:
600x400

I can assure you, I was million miles slower despite sitting taller..
If you inspect the images closer you can see that, I'm sure, the hampered air intake was the main reason for being slower..

Sry guys, I just felt this is the time to post something like this:D

Taller drivers are not always faster, it depends on the track. So you might've blocked the air intake for nothing. Also they gave you (hard?) Avons, mounted with the marking inside, while it looks like Nico had groovy Bridgestones. But also, what's your talent rating and have you trained Stamina to 20?

While I have my doubts that manual Qualifications are a solve all solution to qualification issues, both real and lack of knowledge/information based, or complaints about, they would be a cool thing to have none-the-less just in itself. So making them possible would be a win in any case. If we'll get them time will have to tell.

Funny to see that the problems tha game had in 2014 are the same problems the game now has. I guess qualifying and pitstops will never be fixed.
I find it interesting that the tall driver thing is an issue. Small drivers (<1.65M) were faster, especially in qualy, than the tall drivers (>1.80) pre 2016. The top managers always had female drivers and you rarely saw tall male drivers. I can't remember that being discussed on the forums then. But tbf the game had a lot of problems so I guess it was not important enough. The fact it's being discussed now says a lot about the community or state of the game.

Alessandro
- why the new announced Fuel Economy update is not doing anything in qualifying sessions?

Fuel Economy update makes even bigger differences than before!
