I can add a movie to that list. Born 2 Race. Great movie, really realistic, especially the sounds (so much engine sound porn)
It is on Netflix.

About motor racing films;
Actor Paul Walker died in a car crash. Ironically he's famous from The Fast & the Furious racing movies..

1 - Life on the limit is released on Friday 10th January in the UK.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKTX7_3BVsA

It gets mixed reviews, but will show some previously unseen footage from the 70's.

It is on a limited release & I am still looking for somewhere in London that is showing it

I must look out for it.  It looks very similar to the programme that was on the BBC last year.
I am amazed London doesn't have any small independant cinemas that show non-blockbuster films!!.

I have also come across 'RoadRacers' from 1959.

It's not trying to be funny, but it is hilarious in classic 'B' movie style.

The entire film is available on the Tube.

I found some more bike films you might enjoy:

Angels from Hell - 'He's a cycle psycho' from 1968.
It co-stars Arlene Martin, Spok's wife.
A Vietnam vet returns & attempts to merge several outlaw bike gangs into one super gang, but when a woman is killed at a party, it turns into a cops vs biker war.

It's available on the tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuK4JjpiMy8

The Loveless - 'Sworn to fun, loyal to none', from 1981
It's a re-hash of The Wild One, with Willem Dafoe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bIBesUGzHg

Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town - 'They're looking for a few good men', 1989.
This parody of outlaw biker films, features an all girl gang, looking for trouble.

Little Fauss & Big Halsy - 'Are not your father's heroes', 1970
Stars Robert Redford (what was he thinking?) as an itinerant bike racer with soundtrack by Johnny Cash.

The soundtrack is on the tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq8xRomiZ64

Mammuth - 2010
Starring Gerard Depardieu, featuring the car engined Munch Mammuth bike. This actually gets a half decent review.

If your French is up to it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVwH92KE2lE

Angels, Hard As They Come - 'Big men with throbbing machines & the girls who take them on', 1971.
Need I say more? Stars Scott Glenn.

I bought a Vampire Motorcycle - 'This bike runs on blood, it's really horrible', (yes really), 1989.
Stars Neil Morrissey, Michael Elphick & Anthony Daniels. Incredibly this was re-released in 2009.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/i-bought-a-vampire-motorcycle/

Stone - 'Before there was Mad Max, there was Stone', 1974
Police officer Stone goes undercover with an outlaw biker gang to find out who is murdering their members.

Britten: Backyard Visionary - 1993
If you liked Love, Speed & Loss then this is definitely for you. It tells the story of Kiwi John Britten & the bike he designed & raced.

This isn't motor sport, but if you are nerdy like me, you might enjoy some aircraft things.

This is a UK public information film from 1960. It is very British, including the moustache wearing CO & is delivered in the somewhat clipped tones of the day.

These Avro Vulcans were in service until the early eighties as part of the UK's nuclear deterrent. They could of course bomb with conventional weapons too, as they proved when putting a dirty great hole in the runway during the Falklands war. The design of the delta wing, went on to be the basis for the Concorde.

Just one remains in serviceable conditon, albeit with some restrictions including a speed & height limit.  It can be seen at various air displays throughout the UK, including the Goodwood events.

There are some super formation flying shots towards the end too.

You can get some fabulous models if you are really very nerdy indeed, like me.
