New iGP: Seeking beta testers

I think we're going to need another couple of weeks to add some polish from what we've found so far in Alpha testing before we move to closed beta. That means closed beta testing likely won't start until nearer the end of January.

That will be decided tomorrow, but I think it's pretty much a certainty. So, I will post a blog with brand new screenshots this week so there is a bit more for people to have a look at and give feedback on in the meantime.

What page would you like to see? The new design system and cars, or the drivers and staff? :)

There's no 3D... I don't want to get anyone's hopes up lol. It is something we can do in the future, but it's way down the line frankly. Believe it or not, completely rebuilding the game from scratch with an engine that works on mobiles and translation support is a lot of work on its own! :D

Keep your eyes peeled on the blog this week. I think I'd like to show off the new car attributes and design system too. :) It will tie in suppliers as well, so I'll get to show off how suppliers work now.

Any Chance you can tell us or list what issues you stumbled across?
examples (fixed in F1 2015 unrelated to iGP)
Fixed problem where hard and medium compound tyres are over heating far too soon.
Fixed problem where drivers name failed to show.
Fixed problem changing compound in race.
Fixed problem where DRS didn't engage.
Fixed problem with fuel usage being too low.
Fixed problem where fastest lap didn't show.

Edit - The new design system, the cars and showing how different suppliers impact on the design. I think everyone wants to see rather than staff and drivers. :)

We'll start publishing details about exactly what issues are being worked on during the beta testing phase. At this stage such details are typically kept under wraps in private software development.

The new car design will take the supplier ratings & transforming them into the base rating for the car design levels.
Instead of the chief designer working on different areas of the car they will now generate design points for us to spread over the car as we see fit.

I edited Jacks screenshot using my suppliers. Might not be right though, it's guess work on my part.
I used engines response & fuels performance as acceleration, tyres grip as handling, tyres operating range as downforce lol, engines rigidity as braking lol
Jack might shed more light on how ratings are worked out. But either way the new design system of the car looks promising & I look forward to getting my grubby little mits on it :)
