Hey kevin,
I am having a problem in changing the price of engine. Everytime i go to change the price it tells me to change after 2 days. When I go to change the price after 2 days it then also tells me the same thing.
Any suggestions, here is the link to the engine

I don't know why it is doing this. I can see that you have changed from the default £500k to £1m.

If you remain unable to change the price please raise a bug report in the appropriate section.

If I retain the points for one season the following season do they remain?

Like I said in the guide, there is no reset to the EP that have been assigned.

I don't know whether unassigned points are reset at the end of the season but I will be able to let you know on 21st Feb. Hopefully someone else reading this will be in a position to answer that question.

Did you change and save anything else on the engine? There's currently a bug, at least that's how I see it, that saving something else, like a different attribute for a track, starts the price countdown as well.

The IGP staff have confirmed what I suspected but haven't yet proved...

If you have any unassigned EP they DO NOT reset at the end of the season. I will update the guide accordingly.

Thanks for the response Kevin. I understand the first, in the second I had not thought about it and finally, I am quite ambitious and impatient. I have a question about the improvement points of the own engine. How many points can be accumulated saved? I would appreciate an answer.

I'm not aware of a limit to the number of unassigned EP you can save. But the most you will ever need when you get to L30 will be 24 circuits x 29 EP = 696 EP.

However, right now I can't think how storing EP would give any real benefit.

Thank you Kevin! I was just asking in case you weren't careful to put in the engine upgrade points.

YEAH I HAVE CHANGED THE ATTRIBUTES. ALSO I WANT TO SAY THAT I HAVE NOW CHANGED THE ENGINE PRICE.

If i have 200 on acceleration attributies points and i have more 21 points on acceleration does that matter as 221 or it is useless anything over 200? Thnx

It’s counts as 200.  As you produce your own engines you can avoid this by changing the attribute your engine pts count against

So I have 200 acceleration and I experimented by putting another 11 onto my engine and under car design points it now shows 200 (+11) which is a bit misleading if you are saying it is capped at 200.

I believe I could confirm if the cap is 200 and that is to max out fuel economy to 200, perform a practice lap, and then put 19 engine points into Fuel Economy and run another practice lap.

When the Elite design range was 1-100 the Devs said design is capped by the limitations of the simulator. It can't deal with a number higher than 100.

The design range was multiplied by 2 a few years ago and is now 1-200. I suspect in the background the number that gets fired at the simulator is still 100 even though it is displayed in the design tab as 200 and the simulator limitation remains.

This is why the cap only applies to Elite and can be exceeded in Rookie and Pro. So if you're a lower tier and can get an Elite team to offer you engines with +21 to +30 design boost this is a real benefit.

Isn't necessary to upgrade the engine before to put a new one?

If I want to add 20 points to acceleration for Russia, does that cost me 10 tokens, I can’t seem to add any upgrades to the engine without choosing 10-100 tokens for an engine boost?

No you can earn engine pts each race and also by watching videos.  The updating take place at top of engine tuning page.  The engine tab at the bottom is used for buying points in store.

Two things.
1. This is the English Language section of the forum, please respect this, translate your comment to English before posting.
2. This thread is about Engine Manufacturing, please don't go off-topic.

Hi!

On the forum in the guide it is described that the limit of 200 on all elements in Elite is a hard limit. So, for example, if you've allocated 192 DP to acceleration and use Murk and Elves as suppliers (+14 Acc), you'll max out at 200, so you'll only benefit from 8 of the 14 Acc points available.

Now I develop engines myself. How does that relate to the maximum DP per component?

For example; if I develop my engine with 22 EP on acceleration. Then it makes no sense to fully use my DP on acceleration to 200???

I'm curious how that is calculated, also because the engine can be different per circuit.
Or are the DPs and EPs separate from each other?

And is there also a maximum number of EPs for 1 part?

Hope anyone can answer my questions.

The 200 pt cap still applies.  You can also change your engine attribute from say Acceleration to Handling if you would otherwise exceed the cap
