IGP has always been a pay to win game, even more so after the update. Anything that improves the performance of the team or the time it takes to reach a certain target IS the sole definition of a pay to win feature. Can it get worse? Of course. But that does not mean that it is at the right place right now.
Check out GPRO to see what it means to have a game without any pay to win features.
I have to disagree with you there on
'iGP Manager has always been a pay to win game'
Many managers, including myself, have spent, guess how much on this game?
£0.00/$0.00/€0.00
And we have won several championships, including major ones (German Elite League, iGP World Championship, and Rubens, in my case) These are championships where the top 20 cars are separated by +0.200s/lap in qualifying, and any of the top 10 teams can win on the day (Top 14 teams in the case of the ultra competitive German Elite League)
Everything can be grinded up, so you do not need to spend at all.
Whether some of these new token cost increases are justified or not is debatable though. I tried the AI Assistant the other day, and without any final confirmation tab on whether I wanted to spend a premium currency or not, it just proceeded to take the token willy-nilly.
Felt robbed, but what can you do! 😂
