Chassis Supplier - Update 3

Basically you're supposed to be able to see six possible parts on the supplier page, (Front Wing, Rear Wing, Middle, Drivetrain, Suspension, and Electronics) and each of them give you a boost in certain attributes. You are able to select two of those parts to assign to your car. So unlike being an engine customer, you have full control over how the supplier upgrades your car. By clicking/tapping the icon for these parts, a checkmark will appear indicating that you selected it. You can always change these selections at any time to adapt different bonuses for different tracks by deselecting the ones wish to change, then selecting another part.


I think it's a little bit of a glitch, but from what I'm hearing, selecting a part also simultaneously opens a summary menu showing the boost values. These are meant to be available to the customer as well, but it seems like the game can't differentiate between someone choosing a part and wanting to review the bonuses. So both happen at the same time, and you'll have to close the summary menu in order to select another part.

I see now and understand your position more clearly after reading your updated post. I very much feel the same way as you in terms of the devs making a change because of players threatening to leave the game. Getting chassis customers is very much a game of luck with a lot of "grinding"...though the easiest kind of grinding ever in video games. Just using the chat/IM feature to talk to people... I could go on for a very long time about the extremely anti-social trend across most video games these days in spite of increased popularity and the impact of "e-sports", but that's a discussion better suited for a full length video blog.

However, from the player's perspective of iGP, there was a tremendous fumble in terms of communication with the players. Nobody knew what they were investing in when purchasing the chassis supplier system, but expected something familiar enough to the engine supplier update. The big difference that seems to have upset a lot of people is that acquiring engine customers was optional (though I would highly recommend it in order to make a profit on your car while also making the grind for leveling up easier on newer players), whereas for the chassis update, customers were required to improve the chassis at all. None of that was explained in the first place, placing the devs in a difficult position and forcing their hand on a decision they didn't want to make.

With that said, I actually see one benefit to the changes put in place. Chassis suppliers are now able to acquire a surplus of customers. This can be very beneficial in case someone becomes an inactive player and leaves the league they are in without warning. Imagine telling your customers who are asking when the next upgrade comes that you are one race away from the next upgrade, only for someone to stop playing the game before your race takes place, leaving you one point short of the purchase. Now you have to explain that someone left the team, potentially lowering the confidence of your remaining customers.

For that reason, I will actually choose to keep a surplus of customers because the reality of the market is exactly as you said in your marketing plan. There's only so many possible customers that can be acquired, a finite market size if you will. And you never know if someone else already has a chassis supplier unless they tell you.

I am supposed to pick parts? I signed up as a customer, was accepted, got an email telling me of the gains, but can’t even find where I would even look at my supplier, let alone pick parts.

Where does it indicate you are a client and the supplier name? 

Because I'm a supplier I might be wrong since I can't see it for myself but it seems that you would need to visit the chassis supplier page again with the same link you used to get to the application page.


At least I hope it works that way since the customers who have made their choices needed me to send them the link again.

And I don't see any way to tell if someone is already a customer of another team. In fact, I don't see an indicator on the team page to say that someone is a chassis supplier.

I clicked on a link in the forums to apply. I then got an email letting me know I was approved, but no link. 


On my manufacturer page, I only have the same option to pay to become a manufacturer, other then the email I received, no indication I am a client. 

I would need to go back and find the manufacturer on the forums to even remember who I chose. 

I don’t think this is the way it is meant to work. 

I don’t really understand why chassis supply is a option now no point in developing it like engines if you only supply yourself and can’t get any more development points to boost your team

Yes, that worked.

I looked at the initial email sent from the supplier, got there name and did a search under manufactures.

But why am I choosing developments? How am I supposed to know what everyone else is doing g . Is t that the point of having a manufacturer? They do the work and we pay them for it?

Also, having to search to find it makes no sense, your engine and chassis supplier should come up under the car tab. 

You're only choosing the parts you want to use on your car and you can't see what any other team has picked from their supplier. On the other side, the supplier is developing the chassis.

What else were you able to see on your supplier's page, if anything, in addition to selecting the parts?

Mira, yo siempre mando un correo con la mejoras del chasis que hago a todos mis clientes y de hecho hoy no hice mejoras por qué no tengo los suficientes puntos de chasis, entonces mandé un correo explicando el por qué no hice mejoras, y está vez les mandé el correo para que ellos puedan optar que mejora es mejor, al tener 8 clientes si hay empate simplemente elegiré la que más me parece a mí pero si no hay empate pues mejoro la que más votos tenga, a continuación te dejaré el mensaje:

Hola, soy tu proveedor de chasis como pudieron notar hoy no habrá mejora del chasis... Por qué?? Por el simple hecho de que no me alcanzan los puntos data la siguiente mejora es a los 20 y actualmente tengo 19, necesito que todos mis clientes contesten este mensaje, mañana se mejorará el chasis y ustedes elegirán que mejorar, 1 mejorar un 0.5% en el rendimiento de todas las piezas del chasis, o 2 ahorrarme 50k por cliente es decir 400k y además bonificación del 2% de investigación, espero respuesta de todos mis clientes, saludos...

Podríais mirar cual es el problema de conexión para las carreras en 2d desde mi pc, en la liga; FERNANDO CHAMPION 2...No puedo entrar en vivo en ninguna de mis dos cuentas pero si puedo ver otras carreras y hace un año me ocurrió lo mismo y después de chorizarme 120 TK se arreglo cuando se os puso de los cojonesy y no me devolvisteis mi dinero.

I’ve been trying to become a customer with a friend in the league, but unfortunately the “apply” button is gone… I contacted him and he also doesn’t know why or what’s going on… Is this another bug?

So, the max is 10. When we get 3 centers we finish the contract with 6 clients becouse is more money to spend and same points of data.

Is not the Solutions 

And i have one question more: What win the provider? Only investigation percent? A lot of money spend for only some point of investigation only?

Can we please get an answer on if this is a bug and what will be done about it?

Hi Jack, actually... What is the goal of the chassis?

Because after upgrading the perk to obtain +5% in research ability, I realised being a chassis provider is pointless and actually detrimental.

Once you get the +5% research power... You are left with:

- a chassis you can provide to other players, but not yourself.

- all perks you unlock benefit others, not you, you depend on other manager chassis.

- even with 3 centers giving 6 chassis points and 4 clients, you lose 1.2M per race with all discount perks applied.

- what is the point of farming chassis points now? I already got the only useful perk for me (+5% research power). Of course I can keep improving my chassis for others to enjoy, providing me zero benefits and -1.2M daily ;).

Now, some proposals:

1. The chassis should provide some surplus money when having enough clients, just like it happens with the engines. At the moment with 3 active facilities, having more than 4 clients is a waste of money.

2. Being able to use your own chassis. THIS IS KEY!

3.There is sure room for improvement in the ability tree. Facility improvements  could be permanent, but specific perks to certain areas of the chassis could reset with each seasin. This would force managers to develop their chassis in a certain way trying new builds and allocating points in a smart way.  Of course rebalancing of points cost would be needed.

3 is just an idea, but 1&2 are a must! Otherwise I am contemplating firing all my clients as it is not benefiting me at all and only costing me money every race.

Agree with we should be able to use our own chassis, same as we have with engines

Il faudrait créer un raccourci donnant accès au chassi depuis l onglet de la voiture.. comme pour les moteur ou pneu! Parce que la a chaque fois aller dans communauté et rechercher le fournisseur manuellement c'est pas très pratique.

I must have a bug, the day the chassis went live I became a manufacturer but also a client. And I am receiving the latter chassis, mine is better now, yet I cannot terminate my client contract...
