After a test run

very low litres = laps. Fuel is 2.19 per lap
1 = 0.4
2 = 0.9
3 = 1.3
4 = 1.7
5 = 2.2
6 = 2.6

very high litres = laps. Fuel is 2.33 per lap
1 = 0.4
2 = 0.8
3 = 1.2
4 = 1.6
5 = 2.1
6 = 2.5

if you put in 2.4 per lap it come up spot on

Change it to fuel efficiency and have set litres per lap for tracks it work out well. Optimizing fuel burn to get more speed rather than less fuel in the tank

Either somebody has been busy or it's a wet tyre thing. I have no missing laps

I get it occasionally but I refresh the page and it goes away most of the time. If not I just switch the tire or fuel load and save it then go back to the strategy I had before

Race viewer spot on

If you have that issue when setting up the car than I would just say to up the fuel by 1. It may make you a tad slower once you get to the race, but it's better to be safe than sorry

I slow enough Brandon 2 stops versus 5 and 6 stops, the less fuel I can carry the better

For some odd reason the estimated laps in the strategy page doesn't calculate the same as the race viewers.
45 litres = 17.9 laps in Strategy and 18.3 laps in Race.

The plus side
if I'm under-fuelled I can lower the push level unlike the other guys that are already on the lowest push level

I know I'm slower than most in my league, but if mine is constantly saying that my car is under fueled than I usually take the extra litre just as a failsafe. I usually have to do what you do and make as little stops as possible so that I can try and stay close to the rest of the guys in my league

If you're like me, you make sure to not make mistakes! And if I make a mistake, that is the cost I pay.

What about deliberate mistakes! I do a few of them. Running out of fuel in the pit-lane and running out, crossing the finish line.

Curiously, what push level did you perform the practice laps on?

FYI - I've just applied a patch to always force neutral push levels on practice laps, as is described in the tooltips, the predictions are intended to be for neutral push levels. It was always an unintended behaviour that strategy push level was applied to practice laps.

Regarding this thread, I'm slightly embarassed to say I couldn't wrap my head around what the issue was exactly. Is it that the fuel prediction after doing practice laps doesn't quite gauge the fuel required correctly? I noticed after doing practice laps myself that it said I used 2.33 per lap, but that 25 litres in a stint would last 10.3 laps. This would appear to be incorrect, as it should be 10.7 laps.

there was no need for a patch?? all needed to do was flip a coin, to keep using Jacks strategy calculations or to use Darrens race viewer calculations then problem is solved. the problem is they dont match each other strategy and race viewer.

strategy page doesn't calculate the same as the race viewers.
45 litres = 17.9 laps in Strategy and 18.3 laps in Race and that using the same push level in both

Push Levels for tyres

very low ss
low s
neutral m
high h

but if it's 10 degress you move them all up a push level and if it's 29 degrees you move them all down a level

Monaco & Italy just break the moulds they are back to front

Monaco high & very high (5 parts per car repairing)
Italy very low and low (14 parts per car repairing)

they should be swapped over lol

I just noticed something.

10 laps at 2.33 is 23.3 litres 24 in the tank not 25
24 would be right if it was 10.3 but most likely it would of said 9.7 is why you put in 1 extra litre for it to say 25 is 10.3

You are over-fuelled just so estimated laps say 10 instead of 9 laps
but taking that 9 laps into the race it would of said 10 laps

Guys dun know exactly whether it really matters, but what i observed an un-repaired [this is obvious] car OR low health driver uses more fuel while practice but at he race time when health is full or car is fully repaired it consumes little lesser fuel and equation for no. of laps with the same quantity of fuel changes.
i did one practice stint just before race today and it showed 0.03 and 0.04 ltrs fuels less with same perfect setup and same set of tyres.
can u guys confirm the health factor for the issue

I'm going for a 15, 14, 13 & 13 strategy

It's fixed rate Neutral, as the temp is 22 it should be a safe call to use Mediums on Neutral so the fuel it's giving is what it should be in the race.
