Looking forward to the next phase of features plus of course a race viewer that lets you in on time, doesn't throw you out mid race and invoke auto kers and doesn't lag so much that the race becomes unmanageable.
Ooohhhhh Kev, our man, that just about encapsulates the feelings players like me have regarding the occasional mishaps of the current viewer. Lately though it's mostly been a question of when the viewer lets you in. Reliability of the race viewer is the main deal-breaker for me regarding iGP, since the crux and differentiating factor of the game IMO is the live management.
@team staff: I guess it's either better browsing for staff or the ability to train them. I'm not really bothered by this, but I at least think it should be more convenient for people to look for available staff. The Find function, without its search tags, sorting, and even lack of convenient display of results does not help much (unlike old iGP). Or maybe it's supposed to be this hard to find drivers and staff outside the Transfers now.
@beta label: Google is not a good comparison as Google likes to do things differently or at least give the impression they do things differently from everyone else. Beta usually means a prototype that's ready for testing, between the alpha and official release stages, is usually for a short period of time but can last up till a year or two, and is generally significantly more buggy than the official release. None of that applied to Gmail (except for one huge global service outage), and the beta label was used more for marketing and branding, while also possibly signifying the "constant feature refinement" that people tend to expect with web-based apps. That constant feature refinement didn't stop after Gmail was "out of beta" either.
That aside, I don't mind iGP keeping a beta label for the moment. I remember the first time I played new iGP post the summer beta of 2016 (which I played every day) and not only had to contend with a still beta-ish viewer, but how the "research" at that time was an automatic research to all stats, hugely advantaging those who started the season with the weakest cars, while disadvantaging the "best car" that wouldn't have all the extra juicy design points. At least that's fixed now, but as long as there are teething issues, beta we go.
