BTW this message is another suggestion and not relevant to Kevin's idea...
We could introduce a "total rp gained in the last 2 weeks*" leaderboard or even a "average rp gained per race in the last 7 days" leaderboard. This way we can easily see the best performing people from recent times without having to "remove" anything from anyone...
It also means that everyone in these leaderboards will be there because of the current "generation" of rp and if we make changes to how rp is gained we will see immediate affects and can then make changes from there rather than realising the issues months after the changes are introduced.

*it says two weeks but it could easily be another time frame. 2 weeks is close fairly to 17 days (and 17 races) but 3 weeks would factor in breaks too...

This will definitely keep some fresh faces coming and would make the HoF top ten a lot more watchable imo!

But it's easy to gain rep if you're lowish rep in a high rep league, you don't even need to win. I took this account out of retirement 43 races ago and in that time I have risen from position 1,569 to 182. 8,649 Rep to 9,710 and I haven't even benefited from the top 2 100 rep bonus. Surely this would put me high in your to "gained rep" standings just because I'm an experienced manager competing in a high rep league.

I think that to be more realistic, the Hof should get the results of the last 100 races plus the average league level (based on the average reputation of the managers). if a manager wins several races in a low-level league, of course he should not have a good reputation reward. while a manager who wins races in a high-level league receives a higher reputation reward. if any team is not playing in any league, it should automatically lose reputation points. so, I think, would remain realistic.

tbh what is required is a system like rocket leagues ranks. Save the HOF and make it legacy HOF, drop the old system. Set a new system where in if you finish in the top half of your league you get a scaled bonus per season positive, and if in the bottom half you get a negative, base it off how many points you get compared to the average points for all teams who did every race, if you didn't do all races, you get no bonus. That way the top of leagues go up more based off winning their league, but this should be minimal impact, it should half the effect of the per race bonuses where in, if you beat someone of higher rep, you should get more rep yourself. This will lead to winners going up and losers going down per race, with the championship bonus also raising and lowering position based on rank.

Sorry, I only just noticed that this thread has been revived.

I think that two things should be done:

1. Scrap the rep bonus for the teams that finish above 2nd/4th in the Elite tier's team championship.

2. Uncap reputation.

Someone suggested changing how reputation is calculated completely, I don't agree with that. The current Elo rating system is a proven one, and shouldn't be changed.

Uncapping the reputation might be coming soon.
